There are only two differences between this special 400th anniversary edition and the original 1611 KJV---it does not contain the deuterocanonical books and has been reduced from its massive 12' x 16' pulpit-sized folio to this manageable keepsake. Now you can embrace the elegance, majestic style, and rich cadence of the first printing of the 1611 King James Version Bible.

This is not a true copy of the original 1611 King James Bible. K

This is not a true copy of the original 1611 King James Bible. King James I was Catholic and so the original 1611 King James Bible also included the Apocrypha. I would not recommend this to anyone who wishes to read the Bible in it's first English version since a large portion of it is missing. I was told it was a marketing tool. But that is not a good reason to leave out parts of the original which would lead those who buy this copy to believe that is they way it read. Other than the missing books and additions to other books it does give the reader a feel of how hard it was to read this version. The type is terrible but that was the type of the time.

    not recommended at all !!!

This Bible is not a true edition of the original 1611. They left out books that are very important to know. Please get the 1611 Edition although it costs more, the one by Nelson is a true copy of the original edition as translated.
