This would be a fine resource for using the Bible on my Nook at home, but for church use, the navigation system takes too long. The Chapters are ALL of the books AND chapters of the Bible. So if I want to look up something in the New Testament (i.e. Mark 3), I have to scroll and scroll and scroll till I come to Mark 3. Then because the book is so large, it takes a long time to load. By that time, the preacher or teacher has already read it and moved on to something else. I can bookmark pages, but they are not labeled by the Book, but by the page number.

I just got my nook and have been trying to find a well-formatted bible for it. The chapters in this book are listed individually as each chapter of the bible, so it takes a long time to scroll through. It also uses page numbers when you add a bookmark, not chapter/verse. You can also access the books/chapters from the index. Loads very slowly.

I have this on my Nook. I bought it because I didn't like the original King James version that I bought first and this one was cheap and in regular English. It does take a while to load and searching for a chapter with the find feature takes a while but at least it gets there. In the other Bible I was using you could search by book but not by chapter. So it is easier to use the find feature in that way. Also every Book and Chapter is listed in the contents but scrolling for a particular chapter can take a while. All in all I like this one better. You just can't have it all the way you want it and this is a nice happy medium for me.

I loaded this Bible on my new Nook Color, and I am thrilled! The same translation I have been reading for years, very easy to navigate using the search, contents, highlight, bookmarks and notes options. Thank you Barns & Noble for making this available!

I was really hoping that I had found what I was looking for in a Bible for my Nook. In my opinion, this one is not formatted well for ease of use. You have to scroll through each book of the Bible individually, thus making it very time consuming to look up a passage. I don't know if anyone else is having this trouble, but I can be reading and when I turn the page it's like a whole page is gone. I will go from verse 4 on one page to verse 25 on the next page. It would be like someone ripped a page out of your paper Bible. I would not recommend buying this Bible for your Nook, even at the $1.99 price.

It may have been programmed to do so, but it does not seem to work.

I found this version very easy to use. If you use the scroll search bar at the bottom, you can search for books or chapters.

Of the various current translations on the market, this translation is said to be the most accurate translation for both Old and New Testament and is the most likely to be used by the Seminary student in conjunction with texts from Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic for course work in the Biblical languages.

Every time I try to read this on my ipad, it crashes. :( I really wanted a digital copy of the Bible for ease in carrying so I'm not excited about buying another one to see if it works or not.

This is not just any book this is God's Word. Sharper than any two edged sword! I highly recommend that you read it. We are blessed in America to read the Bible and worship God freely!

This is a perfectly adequate edition of the NASB. The two-tiered contents feature (first, the books of the Bible, then the list of chapters) makes navigation easy. For the student who likes a lot of explanatory notes and cross-references, this is not where you will find them. Various study Bibles may be more useful, but for the person who simply wants the best available English language translation and the convenience of the NOOK format, welcom home.

I'm disappointed in this purchase because of the speed at which it loads, not just initially, but when trying to navigate from one section to another. I bought the NASB because it's one of my favorite translations, and this one in particular because it was cheaper than the others. But using this e-book for research is a challenge to one's patience. This is the only book in my Nook library that is extremely slow to load and navigate. I suppose if you just want to read it continuously (like a novel) without changing from section to section it would be fine. Otherwise, try another version.

I have read many reviews trying to decide which version to get. I chose this version because it is easy to read and follow. I use it on my NOOK Tablet and it is easy to navigate. I use it in church and can keep up pretty well with the scripture references. I have vision problems and being able to change the text size is a real benefit. Very happy with my decision!

The NASB is a great Bible translation. Accurate, easy to understand, and still powerful.

Church will be over before you can find the verse you are looking for.

This is not like any NASB I have ever read...more like king james. You get what you pay for. i would not get it again!

This book is very slow to open and slow to navigate. Seems to tax the operating system or memory on the nook color.

I purchased the Bible and downloaded it to my nook app. But I could not read it. I sought technical support, but they were unable to resolve the problem. I think I will stick to Kindle products from now on.
