All of it came from the mouth of one man. More people read the Quran than any other book ever written.
This new edition of the book has been published to help Muslims not fluent in Arabic to understand the meaning of the words. It includes an English translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali and a transliteration into Roman text by Abdul Haleem Eliyasee.
However, it is important to remember at all times that the authoritative text is the Quran itself. These translations and transliterations are only intended to be helpful guides. They are not substitutes for the original.
Every Muslim is required to read and understand the Quran to the extent of his ability. The words "To The Extent of his ability" is key. Obviously, a man who cannot speak Arabic and who is poorly educated will not be able to achieve the same level of understanding that a highly literate and educated native speaker of Arabic can. Nevertheless, even the poorly educated man must try to read and understand the actual words of the Quran. There is no Pope or supreme authority in Islam. Every man is his own authority. This is what Muslims believe.

    English

    This edition is in ENGLISH for those who aren't able to download a preview. There are a couple of spelling errors in the translation, but overall this is a great release. I definitely recommend this to anyone interested in The Hole Qur'an.

    It would be nice if the publisher could release an Arabic version or even a version containing both English and Arabic.

    If I am correct, the overall message of the Bible is love. When you search up the book of another religion and post a spiteful review, what sort of person do you think your God is seeing you as? Certainly not one he would bless. Maybe you should spend less time hating those who are different, and more time enjoying the variety of all the cultures around you. Difference is something to be enjoyed. Peace be with you!

    God put us here to live life, gain knowledge and wisdom. God does not care if your Christian, Jewish, Muslim, or any other sector relgion. God would prefer that we learn about each other and respect each other's beliefs.
    Unfortunately, most religious zealots don't even read their own religous books (The Bible, The Koran).
    Do us all a favor and read them both.

    Koran Misinformation

    I am also a christian, and I belive that no one religion can realky claim if another is right or wrong. We all should just respect eachothers beliefs and understand that maybe we are all right about our religions. Religion is a personal preferance that cannot really be argued against logically. I am ashamed when other Christians judge religions based on facts that they think they know. Also remember that Christians tried to convert pagan Europe and persicuted all pagans just because if tgeir religion. This may sound like I am attacking my own religion, but I am not. I am only trying to defend other religions from wrongful judgement. Realize that, no matter who your God may be, the golden rule generally stands in all religions: Do unto others what you would have them do unto you."

    A great translation of the quran

    If you are new to islam read this book if you can't read arabic. it is a great translation.
