As a long-time journal keeper, I have bought many, many journals over time. I usually go back and forth between different formats. Journals with lines, or without. Journals with lots of pages, some very skinny. Since I am sort of artsy too, I occasionally chose sketchbooks for journaling. I have recently taken up keeping an art journal, which requires painting with all sorts of media, and/or using permanent markers which typically bleed through normal paper. This journal is awesome because the pages are nice and thick. I have not been able to find this journal anywhere else. Even the craft stores like Michael's and Hobby Lobby don't carry it. I would buy it again.

I'm a graphic designer and the size and spiral bound format of this Journal is perfect for the work I do. I like to be able to flip the pages and the spiral binding allows me to keep going with an idea while the pad rests flat on my lap or surface. I use it as a sketch pad for my project ideas. The quality of the paper is excellent and doesn't have any bleed through with the sketch marker I use. I would definitely recommend this pad and will buy them again in the future.

Spiral bound is always a good deal for any journal. I don't like having to hold pages out of the way while sketching or painting. The best part about this particular journal is the paper...it can handle layers of ink, watercolor or collage and doesn't lose it's texture or get warped.

I bought this journal to use for daily art-making, as well as journaling. The pages are generous in size, and are heavy water-color paper, so they hold up to collage, as well as paint. I am very happy with it. The fact that it is spiral-bound, and lies flat means that I can scan my art into my computer, and then upload the art to a website, if I so choose.
