These bookends are great if you don't actually intend to hold any books up with them. They are so weak, can't hold any books & won't stay put. Multiple times now, I've removed one book from in between the bookends and it has caused the bookends to give out & the entire collection of books crashing down in my daughter's room. We've now removed them from her room & put them in the trash since I don't really want a stack of books falling on her head. Cute bookends, but completely useless.
I have had these bookends for years and I love how they look. Mine are aqua like the photos here. They do great at holding up the ends of my book lines as long as I have three or more books to weigh down the base. I love the slim design of these because they don't take up too much space on my shelves.
These are decorative book ends that work best (for us anyways) books that are around 8"x5" or so. They are not super sturdy and strong to hold a bunch of hard cover books nor taller books. We put them on a shelf with a small group of books and they stand out and look great. Ours are just like I see them on the screen, a teal green. When I saw them in the store they are the same.
The color on the website is wrong. The bookends look aqua on here. In person they were emerald green, not a hint of blue, so they didn't match my decor at all. Disappointing.
These are very cute bookends and hold my books well. The problem I have is that I'm using them in a built-in book shelf so you can't tell that they are ampersands.
Although most of my decor is classical European, these attractive, small sized bookends fit in well for that modern touch.
