I love my Nook Tablet and am one to really take care of my electronic devices. Thus, I thought it was a good idea to protect the screen, and hopefully reduce glare when trying to read outside. I know there is a comment about how difficult the film is to apply, and I'd like to comment on that. If your screen is at all dirty, even a speck of dust, the film will trap it. I suggest taking lots of care to be sure your screen is absolutely clean. No smudges, no fingerprints, no dust. I cleaned my screen first with a moist cloth I had to clean my laptop screen, then a final cleaning with the provided cloth. I viewed my screen from several different vantage points (ie landscape & portrait) as well as several different angles to be sure every part of the screen was clean. Yes, this probably took me an extra 5 minutes, but the film went on so smoothly without a single bubble and looks great. The film does not decrease the screen's sensitivity to touch, and appears to really protect from dirt and scratches. From my initial testing I'm not sure how glare FREE it will be, but it does indeed reduce the glare significantly. For people who really want to maintain their Nook Tablet, I would highly recommend this product.

I wanted a Nook Tablet and was worried about how in the sun, the screen would glare. I bought this so that my screen would stay Glare-Free. I applied it to my Nook Tablet and in the sun, my screen is perfect. Thank you B&N for this!

The salesman at Barnes & Noble very kindly and expertly applied the screen protector for me, no bubbles at all. I imagine if you ask them, they will do this for you, as well.

I bought my Nook Tablet recently and decided to get a screen protector to make sure I didn't scratch the screen or end up having to clean it every time I play a game or something. The fella at the store suggested to get this, not only to protect the screen but to reduce glare in brightly lighted areas, so I did. Putting it on the screen wasn't nearly as bad as some people made it sound... After reading some of the other reviews, I honestly thought it was going to be a pain...but as long as you have a steady hand and make sure to line it up right, it almost goes on by itself. All I did was wiped down the screen with a microfiber towel (not the one provided, it seemed to make a mess of little black fibers all over the screen so I tossed it, I used a regular microfiber towel for drying my car), then I peeled the very top of the plastic sheet back and lined it up with the top of the Nook screen, then I gently pulled the plastic sheet back the rest of the way. The screen protector almost fell into place on it's own. I had to squeeze out a few bubbles around the edges but that was nothing. It does reduce glare but it is most definitely NOT going to block out direct sunlight like so many people expect it to... I have four 100 watt bulbs in the ceiling fan in my game room and I have no complaints about reading in that environment... I'm not sure why so many people thought it would block out sunlight but that seems to be the biggest complaint about it, aside from the "user error" problems because they can't manage to clean the screen well enough before putting the protector on so they end up with bubbles and blame Barnes and Noble and the makers for their own mistake... Honestly, the only things that I would change are: 1: Scrap the little black cloth, it just makes a mess. 2: Make it cover the entire piece of glass on the front with just a little circle or maybe just a stamped out "n" for the button instead. That way the entire thing is protected, rather than just the actual screen.

Less finger prints, much less glare. Will not change the screen into e-Ink, but great improvement.

I just purchased this product today and it works perfectly! First, I used a damp paper towel to clean the screen of dirt and fingerprints and then I used the cloth that came in the package. No bubbles at all!! The screen glare has been reduced and I can read in the sunlight. If you are still having trouble reading in the sunlight, try adjusting the page to the night setting. That may help!!

I bought this product and was told by the salesperson and the back on the package that there were two screen protectors and I only got one. I looked through everything in the package and there was only one. Two sets of instructions but only one actual screen protector. After multiple tries with the same screen protector I finally got it on with only a few things stuck under the screen. It works well as far as fingerprints go but doesn't help at all with the sun in my opinion...Laid out by the pool and had to turn the brightness all the way up on the screen and had to make the text the largest it would go to even be able to see it! I thought I would be getting a quality product buying it from Barnes and Noble but I guess I was wrong!

Why did they not make the Nook glare-free in thefirst place? Diana H

It definitely works as said even with a stylus..BUT...if you don't get every speck of dust off first the tiniest smudge stands out and if you remove it to fix it use a tool of some kind to pry the edge up. The problem is that it creases easily and then that corner stands up and catches on things. It also no longer sticks where my nail pried the corner up and only 2 sheets in package when they ruin so easily is a bad value.

I personally love this screen protector. I had done some research on it and found it to be the best to protect my investment. The only thing that would make it any better is if it fit the entire screen with the Nook Hook only being exposed (due to creating air bubbles).

I purchased this product for my nook tablet and the microfiber cloth stained the frame on my tablet. I was very upset because I only had my nook tablet for about two months. I found a forum on BN website and there where other people who experienced the same problem with this product. I think BN should discontinue this product!!!!!" I really did not want to give this product a star because it does not deserve even one star but I had to in order to submit my rating.

This is a great item to protect your Nook with and highly recommend it! The instructions that come with it are easy to follow too. Be sure to clean your Nook glass first from any dust or lint. Then, handling the the film carefully, take your time pealing back the tab slowly to release the film, first lining it up straight at the top then gradually working your way down to the bottom of the Nook. Have your dust cloth handy to smooth out any air bubbles from the center outward. Worked real slick for me with no problems or bubbles to contend with!

This is a great screen protector compared to the invisible shield. Yes, the invisible shield is the best screen protector on the market, but why would you need that if you have your Nook tablet in a case? And with the barnes and noble screen protectors you get two of them and they are easier to put on with absolutely no air bubbles! Get these! And best part, no glare!

Bought this a few days ago. Had no trouble installing. Used a wet wipe cloth before the enclosed cloth. Salesman also showed be how to change the backscreen to grey which also helped with outdoor reading. Read a book by the pool all weekend long.

I would recommend this. Alot less fingerprints and glare. A little tricky to apply so follow instructions.

I spent the 20 dollars based on a review only to be disappointed, 1st of all it's a stick on and any little speck between it and the glass creates a bubble of air, took multiple attempts to get it on the device. Once on, I took my nook out onto the patio to read a little. Prior to the glare screen I felt as if I was looking in a mirror with a light behind me, I could see my reflection and had to tilt the nook in different directions to read. Low and behold, same problems with the glare screen, very disappointed.

Why don't you support this product anymore? There are still tablets out there that need replacing the screen. I have tried the store near me for over a year and they tell me they don't sell it anymore. I would not buy another nook because you don't keep up with what you sell for replacement parts

I don't understand - why can't I buy this online?

Love the Nook tablet - this screen protector however, is a disappointment. Carefully tried both sheets on two separate occasions and had the same poor results. Bubbles that would not rub out creating poor screen visibility. Would not recommend.

Disappointed that its not available online. Military family living overseas and there is no B&N near me.

I love this screen protector. They do seem expensive but actually do what they advertise. For people who say they cannot see their screen in bright sunlight ........................... for goodness sakes, just turn up the brightness on your screen. Viola! There it is!
