About Pratt:

Founded in 1887, Pratt Institute (www.pratt.edu)— the largest independent college of art and design in the northeastern United States— educates designers and artists to be responsible contributors to society. Pratt offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the schools of architecture, art and design, information and library science, and liberal arts and sciences. Pratt is located on 25 acres in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn and has a Manhattan campus in a renovated eight-story building on West 14th Street in Chelsea.

With 192 pages (96 sheets in all) and a generous 8" x 11" format, the sketchbook affords ample space for all your artwork, and the casebound hardcover construction ensures that it will last for many years. Each page has a perforation near the spine along the 11" side, so you can easily detach any sheet for presentation. Combining distinctive beauty with functionality, this sketchbook will stimulate your creativity for years to come.

it`s good quality paper which isn`t what i was expecting! i was going to use this sketchbook for doodles and stuff but it`s decent enough where i`ve decided to use it for more serious things. additionally i was a little concerned about the binding and how easily it would be to use the full page for drawing but the pages are easily removable and the book is put together well. i`ve been using marker with the book and the paper is good for that. can`t think of a single complaint.

I love that you can remove the pages if you want to! Each of the pages are thick! Just a gorgeous book cover that I love to look at when I get tired of drawing!

This sketchbook is beautiful and the pages are definitely quality paper. Unfortunately, the perforations practically rip the pages out themselves just when you turn the page. I ended up needing to tape the backs of the paper so the pages don't fall out. But I still like the design on the front enough that it makes up for everything else.
