Overview

Book 1 in the Christian Romance series, Home To Collingsworth, Home Is Where the Heart Is begins the story of four sisters brought back together by their grandmother's death. Each story shares the struggles and triumphs of a sister as they deal with their faith, the bonds of family and love!
Ten years ago, Violet Collingsworth left the town founded by her family, eager to escape a domineering grandmother and a past filled with hurt. Finally able to pursue her own dreams, Violet has spent the last decade traveling and enjoying adventures in the outdoors she loves so much. But now her grandmother's death has brought her back to Collingsworth and to the conflicted familial relationships of her past. Settling down anywhere, let alone Collingsworth, was not part of her agenda, but a run-in with the town sheriff has her reconsidering.

Sheriff Dean Marconett has heard plenty about the Collingsworth sister who loved to travel, but he never imagined he'd be so drawn to her when they finally met. Hoping to win her heart, he keeps secret the one thing that might scare her away. Will he be able to convince Violet to consider settling down in the town she fled from so long ago before his secret is revealed? Or will her adventuresome spirit and the hurts and fears of her past, along with his secret, drive her away from a chance at love?

138 pages, well edited. Chick lit without the sex. Cliff hanger. This was released in 2014 and it is May 2015 and there is still no sequal. This book is very predictable. Same old formula. It is a Christian book and there is quite a bit of religion, yet it does not preach at the reader. I took off a star for being predictable, one for being a cliff hanger and I thought about taking one off for being so short, but decided that would be mean, since the book was free. It was a so-so read for me. Easy to put down and pick up again, so I did not feel a desire to neglect other aspects of life. For ages 15 and up. AD

Was somewhat predictable but a good story. Waiting for the next book to hear more of the story. Christian romance is the best.

My only criticism is that I wish the book were longer. This is a wonderful love story.

Great Story – highly recommended This is a story about a family of sisters whose mother left them to be raised by their domineering grandmother. As far as the sisters knew each one was fathered by a different man and none knew who their father was because their last name was the same as their unmarried mother and maternal grandmother’s. Not even one birth certificate listed a father. As the four grown sisters and three younger siblings all with different fathers; and personalities try to find common ground as they gather in the family mansion for their grandmother’s funeral it soon become evident their grandmother is still pulling strings when her Will and bequests are made known. Only after their grandmother died do they realize how much this domineering woman who raised them really and truly loved them and the community named after their family. This is a Christian book. Only faith in God and much prayer carried all but one sister through the ups and downs of her life. And, when one sister returned home for her grandmother’s funeral she was very surprised to unexpectedly find love in a town where she had vowed to never live again.

Story line ok, but felt characters were weak or didnt have enough time to develop to make book interesting. Def a christian romance genre

Left to many loose ends so you have to keep buying them to see what happens to each of the characters -especially what happened to the mom. I'm not interested enough to buy anymore by this writer.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I am looking forward to reading more by this author. It was clean, and displayed good principles, which I greatly appreciated. The characters were well developed and believable, and the book was well written. I reccomend this for anyone who enjoys a good, clean, modern, faith based romance.

Loved it.

Even though it is a little predictable, I love the message of the book, and was glad the mian characters didn't jump into bed before marriage.

at first I thought it would be a depressing book, but I'm glad I stuck with it as it picked up quickly and was a good read. The beginning has a lot of background to get through and is important to the story so don't judge it in the first 10 pages.
