Overview

Nothing about Grace Deacon's upbringing has been typical. Raised in the Tensley Home for the Gifted in the English countryside since she was a toddler, she is second in line to take on the mantle of the famous mysterious detective, Montclair. There is one problem: The current Montclair, the superior and irritating Winston Evers is also her sworn enemy since childhood. Then Winston returns home after his latest case, and makes it his mission to get to know his successor better, despite it being the last thing she wants. Can Grace cease the battle of wits long enough to call a truce? Or is something longer lasting in the offing? With mind reading teens, hot-tempered Einsteins and haphazard plane engineers in residence, anything is possible at Tensley's.

Meet the Author

Lauren Cagliola Green lives in Philadelphia with her delightful and funny husband, Josh, and far too many books and collectible figures of superheroes, characters from the Whedonverse and Disney films. She has her masters in clinical counseling from Chestnut Hill College and works as a therapist. She is also known under the pen name Out of Lullabies from Fanfiction.net. She likes bad movies more than she should such as The Room which she will gladly quote and reenact, singing in the car, binge watching tv shows and anime, and music that ranges from jazz to sixties mo-town to current pop. She is also a shameless Anglophile who was too afraid of heights to get on the London Eye when on her honeymoon.

I loved this book! The beginning is a tad slow, but it picks up quickly and stays amazing. The characters are lovable and the humor was well placed. The author does a great job with detail and describing scenes to make it feel real. For being a first time author, I was very impressed with the writing. I can't wait for the next book! I'm on the edge if my seat to see how this sweet romance turns out!

I LOVE this book. It's been a while since I've read anything because of work and school... but this just pulled me in. I couldn't stop reading. If you're looking for a clever, believable, and well-executed blooming romance, this is definitely the book to read. The two main characters, Grace and Winston, are smart and adorable. I've never read a story about romance between geniuses. Good read! I will definitely get the rest of the series!

I loved reading this book! The descriptions the author uses clearly paints a picture in the reader's head, but it is not overly-done so as to distract from the actual story. The plot is interesting and easy to follow, the characters are wonderful and funny, and the writing is sophisticated and witty. Some books have very boring and predictable female protagonists, but Grace has spirit and fire and is very lovable and loving. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to read an adorable romance story!
