Overview

There are many smart things that everyday families in America do that the leaders of our nation could learn from. Too often we try to do crazy things as a country that we wouldn’t dream of doing within the walls of our own homes.
This book is a back to basics, common sense approach to the current issues that our country is facing. As you read this book, try to imagine a wise mother sitting at a kitchen table with her adult son or daughter who is a public official. She is drawing upon the principles that have worked for her in raising a successful family, to try to provide guidance for her child who is now in the precarious position of helping to run one of the greatest countries on Earth.
Leaders of the nation would do well to ask if the laws they are passing would work if a similar model were set into motion in their own home. Each of the following chapters addresses a current issue and how things are being run in government and what they could learn from the time tested and experience-proven methods that families have learned to use to deal with similar issues in their very own homes for many, many years.
