Overview

Former college softball star, Laurie Stevens, now a coach for 12-year-old-girls, knows what it means to play in this die-hard, competitive sport. The cut-throat attitudes. Scholarships and college scouts. Determined to give these girls what she never had, Laurie runs a team where only one thing matters: playing for fun.

At least until Major League Baseball star, Jack Evans, chooses her team for his lonely, attention-starved daughter. Except where Jack goes, so follows the media. The attention. The scouts. Right onto her field and into a past Laurie had long thought buried.

Now, Laurie must either make room in her life, and in her heart, for Jack and his daughter, a daughter who reminds Laurie too much of herself, or walk away from the game forever.

Meet the Author

Christen Anne Kelley is the author of Home Run and Game Over: A Romance Video Game Novel.

In addition to her novels, Christen also writes short stories including her Little League series, which draws on her many memories of base-hits, at-bats, and yes, strike-outs. Christens played on more softball teams than she can count, including Southern Connecticut State University. Her softball days might be over, but she still wears her battle-scars from sliding into home plate and scars that cant be seen except as stories.
