Home Video Makers Handbook

by Roland Lewis

Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal - School Library Journal
YA This well organized, clearly written, beautifully illustrated handbook explains all of the technical aspects of using home video equipment. It is carefully packed with essential information rarely found in a handbook of this length. Through clear examples Lewis acquaints readers with technical terminology and the total video recording process. He then gives step-by-step creative techniques, including visual sense and visual flow, storyboarding, and editing. He offers some suggestions on topics such as travel videos, sports, adventures, children, weddings, etc. (Also included is a two-page section on home erotica.) The chapters on effective presentations, getting sophisticated, and making documentaries will also be useful for YAs. This presentation of many of the latest ideas for special effects at home in an easy-to-read format will be widely used, and it's a useful book for speech and drama classes.Barbara Batty, Port Arthur Independent School District
