I love cookbooks, and I love fall, so I was naturally drawn to this book. It is full of recipes using common ingredients put together in tasty ways - the directions are easy to follow, and more importantly quick to put together (important for a busy household like ours). There are over 200 delicious, great ways to celebrate the harvest season. Chapters include Hometown Pancake Breakfast (my favorite!), Church Social Soup Supper (soups, salads, etc), Thanksgiving Dinner to Remember (all manner of autumn-inspired dishes), Game Day Get Together (snacks, dips, etc), Pumpkin Patch Sweets (desserts and treats), Slow Cooker Potluck Pleasers, and a special section at the end where readers share some fond fall memories. The notes and tips through out the book seem like they are from friends, and they are - our Gooseberry Patch Friends! An outstanding offering.
