I have read most of this author's books. This is probably the worse. This story never unfolded for me. It was so boring . Not worth it.

This one was great with the characters at odds and some suspence. Twists and unexpected events made me forget I had laundry to do and other things! She makes the characters believable and you feel for them and route ghem on. Oh yeah, travis and chloe, great love interests.

Love this book. Alexis Harrington does an excellent job of making that connection between the characters and pulling you in to the story. I would definately recommend this book.

I just love her books, they pull you in from the first page, you feel like you're right there with them. Her books really take you to a different time and place, and make you feel all the emotions she creates with the interactions between characters.

Chloe Maitland was a practical woman. Living in a dying Oregon mining town, she’d given up her girlish dreams of love and marriage. What she needed was a man to answer her advertisement for a blacksmith to work in her shop and help save her home from foreclosure. What she got was an exhausted stranger who collapsed in her yard, looked like the devil himself, and proved to be far more dangerous than she could have imagined.Travis McGuire was a man with a dark past, no future, and no prospects. Doomed to live the life of a drifter, the last thing he wanted was any kind of entanglement with a woman like Chloe. But then she proved strong enough to look his...
