Bob Christman was born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He received his education at the Sacred Heart Grade School and Central Catholic High School, graduating in 1951. In 1957 Bob migrated to Southern California and worked briefly at KFI Radio before landing a job at KABC-TV in Los Angeles. He is now a retired Associate Director of the American Broadcasting Company (ABC-TV) in Los Angeles. During his career with ABC he helped in the production of many popular television shows including The Lawrence Welk Show, Hollywood Palace, Let’s Make a Deal, The Pearl Bailey Show, The Tom Jones Show, The Dating Game, The Newlywed Game, and Password. He also worked on many field remotes during his career with ABC, including the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics, for which he was awarded an Emmy. Bob is a former member of the Directors Guild of America.
Mr. Christman has always been fascinated by word play and word games and this interest clearly shows in this humorous treatment of homonyms.
Bob Christman retired from the hectic world of TV production in 1994. He and his wife of forty-five years, Marie, moved from Burbank, California to Deadwood, South Dakota in 2000 and are "enjoying the hell out of it!" They have four children and seven grandchildren, one of whom, Cristopher, has contributed his illustrations to this book.
