Meet the Author

Born and raised in the American Midwest, I have a special appreciation for the classics (Lovecraft, Poe, Wells, etc.), and, with so much matter-of-fact fiction out there focusing on done-to-death concepts (e.g. alien, vampires, zombies), I've always yearned for a return to vivid, semi-archaic writing styles with fresh ideas. Hopefully, I've been able to capture some of that in my work.

My short story entitled "Honeymoon Phase" (currently my only work available here at Smashwords) is a kind of OCD exercise in which I try to convey events and atmosphere without using major descriptors more than once. I did this because I wanted to get that type of writing out of my system, since it's nearly impossible to write anything "readable" and of decent length without repeating things now and then...and I'd like to go on to write some lengthier prose.

;)

Starts out a little on the boring side and goes downhill to a senselessly gruesome end. Not wrth the time to read 31 pages.
