Cavazos had a rough start and continues to live a life with rough edges. Raised by a single father in East L.A., he was welcomed into the Avenues, a prominent gang, before he even knew the difference between a criminal life and a straight one. "Doc" had few chances to escape the violence around him. After obtaining a license to work as a radiologist and an eye-opening turn in county jail, he left gang life and entered the world of motorcycle clubs. At first glance, readers find the two worlds not dissimilar, and cops would certainly agree, but Cavazos has worked for more than a decade to transform his motorcycle club, the Mongols, and cleanse it of drugs, stealing, and roughing up women. He wants to ride with a group, not a gang, and from this book readers learn of the roadblocks he has had to face in order to turn the Mongols into a respected club. Those looking for "lemonade out of lemons" tales of gang survival and redemption should turn to Luis Rodriguez's Always Running (S & S, 1994). Including a smattering of black-and-white photos, Honor Few, Fear None could easily grab the attention of reluctant male readers and fill the need for gritty urban stories. Since Cavazos uses simple phrasing and tells a gripping story, his book would work well for hi/lo reading.     OUTLAWS OR AMA?

    This book sounds like it was written to pump up Doc's ego and not the club. It constantly talks about him being responsible for everything good about the club and how it was a bunch of losers before he took over. The club is much more a outlaw society then he projects. Seems like he is building a defense against RICCO by downplaying the club. This is not a realistic portrayal.

    Yeah right, who are you kidding???

    It is painfully obvious that the author of this book is a very self centered egotistical, wanna-be writer pretending-to-be a 1%. This man is living an la-la land and so many of his stories are just that, stories. I do not recommend this book to any one - certainly not to a true 1%.

    Cavasos Is A Wrecless Creep With Something To Prove!

    What a CREEP. People have died because this CREEP had something to prove, over and over again.

    He chronicles how he wreclessly enters the Bike-Rider/Club community with something to prove. This is a community filled with life long, commited, good and decent people. But this psycopath has only one thing in mind, impressing people. He sets out to prove that he and some misguided miscreants can push descent family people around, soil their events, inimidate their lives, soil their home towns and all for him/Cavasos, needing to prove that he can be a big man.

    He refers to historic Hollister CA as a dusty pile of dirt. He doesn't even know or talk about how the Media fonied up the whole Hollister Hill Climb event, to sell news papers. He claims that decades old agreements between Bike Clubs are made up fairytails because they don't fit into his PATHOLOGICAL designs. He admits that he was not part of the Bike-Rider world when those agreements were made, but carelessly throws them to the wind, for his own EGO trip.

    Futhermore, everyone knows that the Hells Angels left LA in the 1970's as part of an agreement to leave the Mongols in peace in their own area, LA. Had he been around in the 1970's Cavasos would have known that. Had he listened to the VETRANOS in his Club, he might have respected it.

    Additionally, everyone knows that the Frisco and Nomad Hells Angels Charters have been staying at Harrahs in Laughlin since it was built in the 1990's. Only an idiot that had never been to Laughlin would'nt know that. Or a psycopath trying to start a fight with some wrecless dream to "take on the Angels" would go there armed looking trouble.

    And, everyone that was in Laughlin knows that Cavasos and his Brothers "threw their patches away and ran like little girls" when the fight started in Laughlin, although he portrays himself as "taking cover behind a slot machine". He took cover in the parking lot.

    He talks about the California Bike-Rider/Club community, but demonstrates over and over again he knows nothing about it, does not/will not respect it and never has any plan of even acknowledging this rich American history.

    No wonder the Mongols were so misguided.

    A good Motorcycle Club filters out these kinds of CREEPS with a good long Prospecting period. This guy was never a prospect and this guy wanted to let anyone in thier Club. I am a Bike-Rider and I am glad that the Hells Angels are here to protect the rest of the community from this kind of CREEP.

    If Cavasos had a grasp on the History of the community that he so wreclessly tosses to the side in favor of his own agenda(s), possibly, he would have had some respect for the people/families and the good Men that have died because of his agenda's, that he so poorly writes about in this SELFISH, SELF-CENTERED, EGO-LOG that William-Morrow published on his behalf.

    I am glad that the Mongols KICKED CAVASOS OUT of their Club. Now maybe they can do something positive, regain a sense of their/everyones history and do something positive for their Members and the Bike-Rider community.

    The real enemy for 1%er Motorcycle Clubs are the CREEPS in the Justice System. The DA's and US Attorneys that are bilking $100's of Million from Congress, the Canadian Parlament and the European Union, every year. These CREEPS are the real Criminals (besides this psyco Cavasos).

    Kick this Cavasos CREEP to the curb. And, don't waste your money b

    A joke, do not waste your money

    the book is a joke. Doc and his lil boy rubbs are a bunch of rat punks. the books focus is on the life of a snitch coward. I've read the book twice and have found very little facts. Its a made up fictious novel. just turned the book over to the salvation army bookshelf.

    Read it twice

    I just put it down for the second time. I have read every book going on OMG's and I enjoyed the cross-reference between his version of ATF agents Bill Queen's undercover with the mongols findings.I'm just not sure on doc's versions,It would seem by his stories his club has done nothing wrong but defend there honour. I wonder then what makes them outlaw's??? If 1/2 of what Doc says he has done in this book to build this club is true he should be running for president of the united states!! I think he somewhere down the line started to believe his own bull_ _ _ _!! He is a great promoter by the sounds of things. But if that is his strong suit and he believes in peaceful cohabitation with the other big 4 clubs then why would the mongols mc and Hells Angels mc need to have any friction between them? I think Doc must have took the head xray machine for to many self tryouts!! But anyway it was interseting but just a little to one sided. Great effort though. BRING BACK RED DOG!! Now there's a truly believable biker.... kudos to Domingo-Rocky and Rancid

    "YOU HAD TO BE THERE TO TALK"

    before doc became president it true there was no word of the mongols come on no one heard there name around our city like they did when doc took over he made it bigger and better there was no thread to police and 'help the angels, and about people being killed cuss of him it was cuss the bad apples in the club that were drug addicts started riping off the drug dealrs that happen to be big and thought they were untouchable cuss they were a mongol, so if anyone got killed it cuss of each person own fault there was rules in the club that doc made known and the bad apples dident follow them each person in life is responisble for the own you wanna be in danger you got it. truth doc did make the club bigger and bad. it just to bad he got greedy.. about the police alot of them were scared of the mongols and the D'A new that so they had to bring doc down thinking the club will go away. that will never happen "God bless you doc and lil rubs' ALWAYS RESPECT YOU

    DO NOT READ

    This book was horrendous. It was so poorly written that I did all I could to push through the pages. The "OH POOR ME" was beyond what my stomach could handle. The only point there is to reading this nonsense is his complete and utter disgust towards police...It's entertaining how he twists facts and circumstances to benefit himself. He points to pictures of police drawing weapons when in fact they are sheilding their guns. He is not the stand up man he claims to be and his pleas go above and beyond what is necessary. He took this opportunity, which could have been used to unlighten to bash police and other MC circles.

    Very Interesting

    This book was very interesting because you hear the WHOLE thing through the eyes of the actual president of the MC. I didn't see the point of going through the child hood gangs but everything else was very good. Finally talking his whole way from beginning with the club all the way to the present and not leaving anything out. If you have any interest in MC's at all I highly recommend this book.
