Lyssa Hynde knows the Wyoming winters are cold, lonely, and dangerous. But she wouldn't give them up for anything. There's nothing she likes better than to gallop her three–day event horse, Blue, through knee–high fresh powder.

One day when she's out for her morning ride, Lyssa follows a trail of mysterious hoof prints that take her high into the mountains. Climbing a snowdrift, she and Blue set off an avalanche that builds in force as it heads straight for her ranch.

Will Lyssa make it home in time to warn her family and save the other animals? Will she find the mystery horse that led her astray in the first place?

    Hoofprints in the Snow

This is the best Thoroughrbed ever!! I just love Lyssa's way with horses. She isn't as stubborn as Cindy or Melanie. Her and Chris are the best. This series is so cool. I mean, the girls (and boy) revolve around horses! Anyway, this was the best book in the sreies!

    Hoofprints in the Snow

This is the best Thoroughbred book I've ever read!! Me and my friend love this series, but none of the other books are as good as this one(except for Rising Star)! I love the part where Blue and Lyssa are trying to get out of the avalanches path!

    Great Book!!!!!!

There was so much unexpected adventures, and you didn't know what was going to happen next. It was so cool to see what it was like to own a horse in the snowy mounatins. It was like a mystery and suspense.

    Heartland

I know this has nothing to do with this book, but I just wanted to tell you guys that there is another horse series that I think you all would like. Some of you may have heard it before. It's called Heartland. It's about a girl named Amy. Her mother started a horse sanctuary for hurt and tramatized horses. I have read books 1-12, and I CAN'T wait till the 13th one comes out in September. I just wanted to suggest these books to ya'll. I g2g, Katy

    What happened to Joanna?

Joanna Campbell still is writing the books, but she has someone to help her. That is why the books say Created By Joanna Campbell. Anyway I love this book, I love all the Thoroughbred books. Mainly I like to read about Christina. Has anyone noticed that on the covers of the books that are about Parker, it always shows him jumping? My favorite book is #39 Living Legend. Christina has to test her will power to come out to the top. She races claimers behind her mothers back, because she knows it's the only way to help Star. She has to be experienced to help them both rise to the top. That takes a lot of courage. Email me if you would like to talk.

    Horse Thief

This book has serious flaws. For one thing it is not in time sequence with the other books- jumping back in time a month or two ( hasn't the progress to the Derby been slow enough ?} Why would Lissa take Blue into the dangerous wilderness when there were other horses she could have ridden ( Because thr series in Thoroughbred not Quarterhorse or mixed breed?} The books value is in a new villain who makes the Townsends look mild .

    WAITING!!!!

Where did the Derby go?!?!?!?! I've read all the TB books of the whole series(as far as the series has come out) I'm so ready for the derby where is it!!!! Its been how many books... I'm just hoping the writers WOULD hurry up. Also all the characters and Horses are being flip-floped and so on intead of Parker I thought Lavania had a kid named Ross... I'm lost... and what happened to the filly, Pride's Heart, and the foreshadowing at the end of that book? Now whenever Pride's Heart is mentioned its a colt... the ever changing writers need to do some serious research on their books. I really am a huge fan of the TB series, but I can't wait forever for the derby...

    Get it over with already!!!!!!

I am sick and tired of waiting for the Derby! Hoofprints in the Snow is a Lyssa book, and I don't especially like her. And you are right-Pine Hollow is SUCH a soap opera. It has nothing to do with horses what so ever. But I have read them all.

    Hoofprints in the Snow

On the excerpt of this book it says its about Lyssa, but on the cover it doesn't look like Blue. Can someone explain this to me, i know on most cover it doesn't look like the illistration doesn't match what the book is about.

    Hoofprints in the Snow

Did Joanna Campbell write this book? The only name it mentions is hers. To as the other books say So and So and joanna campbell. All i really care about is the fact that the books try and keep the characters straight. And the times in order. I will always read this series, yet idf they can keep the books straight then ther would be alot more readers.

    Hoofprints in the Snow

Faith in the Longshot isn't about Pride. That's a mistake on the website. Faith in the Longshot is about Image, Melanie, and the Kentucky Derby. One guess as to where they're going with that.

    Okay...

Okay, I am a totally loyal TB fan, but this is getting out of hand. The Derby is going to be cancaled if they postpone it any longer, for heaven's sakes. I haven't read the book, but I am looking forward to it: maybe the next one will have the start of the Derby. They'll probably finish the race in the book after that though, considering how SLOWLY everything is going. TB needs to shape up fast. I'll never lose faith, but this is really a drag!

    Sick of waiting

I am sick and tired of waiting for the derby too. And the fact that they have so many different authors is getting annoying. They do not take the time to read the other books so that they can get the facts straight. I will read the series but not for long if they do not shape up. I would recommend reading the Saddle Club series but the Pine Hollow Series,(The sequel series to Saddle Club) is a soap opera. I would also recommend Heartland.

    horse lover from KY

I don't really care what everyone says, I love the Throughbred series. I wish they would get to the Derby as well, but I'm also want to know about how Parker and Lyssa have been. I enjoy reading these awesome books no matter what you all say!

    derby fever alright

I absolutely love this series, although I wish they would hurry up with the derby. I also wish that the current authors could do some research on past books. However, if this series is cancled, I will be bitterly dissapointed. I for one, have been wanting a book just about Lyssa, and Parker again for a while, I just expected them to be after the derby. It seems that most haver you have forgotten that Montana has snow on the ground different times of the year than Kentucky. On the cover, they could be up in the montains for all we know. I just don't want them to cancel the series just because of you less observant people have written some nasty things about the series. I don't know who I am rooting for in the Derby, but I am looking forward to the book that holds the race. I am dissapointed that each book is taking longer and longer to come out. It used to be, Thoroughbred at the begining of the month, and Ashleigh at the end. Why can't they just go back to that? Do not misunderstand, I LOVE this series and I hope that it will continue to come out with books and release them faster. A fan, KamelotsBigFan@Aol.Com
