Abigail Cushman may not know the difference between a bass and a trout, but how hard can it be to catch a fish? She’s a quick learner, and she’s certain her smarts can net her a win over Ross Springer, the handsome charmer she’s tried to forget since grief tore them apart.

In the ultimate showdown between brains and heart, will Ross and Abby reel in more than they bargained for?

Age Appropriate for a teenager looking for a wholesome read

This author was recommended as one who writes Christian Mysteries. Perhaps this was a first book. It's okay but not at all what I was expecting. Very simple.

Another great story by Susan May Warren!

This short story is set in Deep Haven which is nice to follow the place we have come to love through her other books. I thought this short story was well thought out and I hope she does some more!

    Fishing for Love

Hook, Line and Sinker - A Deep Haven Novella by Susan May Warren Abigail Cushman and Ross Springer loved each other. Only problem was they did not know the others feelings. Abby had been around most of Ross's life and he believed she was in love with his brother, Scotty, Ross was three years younger and Abby would come home with Scotty from college to watch him at all his sports. Than Scotty died. Ross heard rumors calling Abby "Scotty's girl". He decided it was Scotty she loved and not him. It took a fishing trip with The New Lifers group from college that Ross led against the Sojourner group that Abby led to help them see the truth. After all the time wasted avoiding each and not speaking they finally have a chance to clear the air. Abby had studied all about how to fish, can she know catch Ross hook, line & sinker? This short novella also portrays how easily it is to compare ourselves to others instead of seeing who God created us to be and to use the gifts He gave us. Abby always feels inadequate to her sister and Ross always feels he is less than Scotty was.
