More Than Words: Bestselling authors&Real-life heroines

We all have the power to effect change--we just need to find the strength to harness it. With every good deed done, and helping hand offered, we are making the world a better place. The dedicated women selected as this year's recipients of Harlequin's More Than Words award have changed many lives for the better, through their compassionate hearts and unshakable commitment. To celebrate their accomplishments, bestselling authors have written stories inspired by these real-life heroines.

In this book, Betina Krahn honors the work of Donna Fischer, the Arizona program coordinator for Casting for Recovery, a national non-profit organization that runs fly-fishing retreats for women who have or have had breast cancer.

We hope More Than Words inspires you look inside your heart and to get in touch with the heroine inside of you.

If you like the Love-Inspired books, you'll love Hooked. It's a story about how personal tragedy ripples like a rock thrown in a pond, shaking you to the very core and affecting everyone around you. It's about a woman who's afraid to hope and a man who exemplifies the partner every woman dreams of finding.

This was a very nice read. I have time set aside in my classroom everyday for "Drop everything and read, (DEAR)". This was awesome to for me to have, very enjoyable, and well written. My students know how important something is when the teacher is doing the same thing they are, as opposed to correcting papers, getting ready for the next lesson etc. Thank you to the writers of these wonderful stories, and to the women who have inspired them to write.

I loved this story. It had love, romance, happiness, sadness and everything else that goes on in life without all the sex descriptions. A WONDERFUL change.

I thought this book was short and sweet. It was only about 90 pages but it was touching and I got to know the characters. I only gave it four stars just because I wished it was longer. But if you are one of those people that like the romance stories but don't like all the steamy scenes in them, than this book is for you. This book was focused on just the love that they felt for each other with out the scenes and I loved it!!

This is a wonderful book. As a person who is in a profession that works closely with cancer treatment I thought this book was great. I have written to our Social Services department to let them know of this great support group so they can share it with our patients.

Very heartfelt and uplifting story. Although i am not a breast cancer surviour i had a good friend who was. She was 15 years cancer free before it came back. She fought until the end. She was truely amazing and stronger than any one i know. Highly recommend this story even though it is short it has a good message. Cancer touches all of us in some way. It could be yourself, a family member or a good friend.
