Theodor Seuss Geisel — aka Dr. Seuss — is, quite simply, one of the most beloved children’s book authors of all time. The forty-four books he wrote and illustrated under the name Dr. Seuss (and others that he wrote but did not illustrate, including some under the pseudonyms Theo. LeSieg and Rosetta Stone) have been translated into thirty languages. Hundreds of millions of copies have found their way into homes and hearts around the world. Dr. Seuss’s long list of awards includes Caldecott Honors for McElligot’s Pool, If I Ran the Zoo, and Bartholomew and the Oobleck; the Pulitzer Prize; and eight honorary doctorates. Works based on his original stories have won three Oscars, three Emmys, three Grammys, and a Peabody.
Hop on Pop: Read & Listen Editionby Dr. Seuss
Loved by generations, this “simplest Seuss for youngest use” is a Beginner Book classic. See Red and Ned and Ted and Ed in a bed. And giggle as Pat sits on a hat and on a cat and on a bat . . . but a cactus? Pat must NOT sit on that! This classic Beginner Book makes an ideal gift for Seuss fans and is an especially good way to show Pop some love on Father’s Day!
Originally created by Dr. Seuss, Beginner Books encourage children to read all by themselves, with simple words and illustrations that give clues to their meaning.
This Read & Listen edition contains audio narration.

My 6 year old daughter can READ this, and it builds her confidence to try to read other books. We will be putting this into the memory box, when she is done with it!
Its a fun book and great for kids to learn to read with.
Another Great Story that captures and embraces the creativity of a child's mind. It fun and enjoyable for kids all over the world. The Illustrations are amazing and Jump off the pages making is great book for kids of all ages, again a wonderful book and one of my favorites to share.
This was another book that I thought my son would soon tire. I was wrong. Oh, that Dr. Seuss! I couldn't tell you why he likes the book, even when he is not paying any attention to the illustrations. He just does. I'll tell you why I like reading it out loud. It is fun in a rhymy-whymy way. It has the cadence of a chant. It is funny. And the illustrations -- even upside down and backwards, the illustrations are colorful and whimsical. Even if my son is too busy dancing to the rhythm of the text to notice the illustrations, I find them a delight.
love this book....
As usual Dr. Seuss' word play is incredible.
We have a 1 year old granddaughter and one of the best things about her is that she LOVES books. She's grandma's girl in that Hop on Pop and all the Suess books she's received are a delight no matter how many times they're read and reread in an afternoon.
