All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
The soundtrack to Hope Floats, the Forest Whitaker romantic comedy designed as a comeback vehicle for Sandra Bullock, is an excellent collection of contemporary country and rootsy mainstream pop assembled by Don Was. Soundtrack Gold!

Still a great soundtrack, wonderful music. It's one of those times when the soundtrack is much stronger and more memorable than the movie.
