    A debating story.

Hope on a tightrope written by Cornel West is a story about the struggles of america. West explains the problems from his point of view about the disgraceful school systems espically in the black community. West also explains the problems about young america how some americans just think being succesufl is all about how alot of money instead having a decent living. However, some of the subject he touches in this book I agree with like for example the disgraceful schools systems and how the black community is taught to hate ourselves instead reading about our history in the past. What I disagree about is that not all americans are sleeping walking what he means by that is most of do not know what is going on right now. Cornel West belives that some americans just all about making money and not caring about the middle class americans that struggling just to make a living. I believe that people in general should read this book and see if you agree with Mr. West or disagree with Mr. West.

From a Skeptic - One Awesome Read

I was quite skeptical about this book. I've heard Cornell West, and quite frankly was expecting a different tone on race and class. This was less confrontational, and more to the tone of resolution. There are some seriously deep thought provoking ideas in this book, from class warfare to racial segregation. It's hard not to walk away from this book with some sort of positive change, even for those who would disagree overall with West's philosophical stance in life.

    Recommend

This book definitely offered hope in these trying times of trying to re-cover from the Great Recession. It is educational, uplifting, and provides truth about the social issues that America faces.
