In a world that seesaws between unconditional love and acceptance and blind hatred and exclusion, Hope on a Tightrope will satisfy readers in search of deep wells of inspiration and challenge that marries the mind to the heart.

This gift book features an original CD that highlights Dr. West’s outstanding spoken-word artistry. Hope from an intellectual giant

Considering that he is one of the foremost intellectuals of his time, he is so down to earth and in touch with the masses. I buy everything he write.

From a Skeptic - One Awesome Read

I was quite skeptical about this book. I've heard Cornell West, and quite frankly was expecting a different tone on race and class. This was less confrontational, and more to the tone of resolution. There are some seriously deep thought provoking ideas in this book, from class warfare to racial segregation. It's hard not to walk away from this book with some sort of positive change, even for those who would disagree overall with West's philosophical stance in life.

    Recommend

This book definitely offered hope in these trying times of trying to re-cover from the Great Recession. It is educational, uplifting, and provides truth about the social issues that America faces.
