Overview

What will grow from the seeds of desire?

Compass Girls, Book 2

Hope Compton never considered her parents’ unconventional relationship a dangerous thing. Until, after a few too many drinks in a crowded bar, she admits her desire for a ménage to her college boyfriend—and uninvited guests try to turn her fantasy into a nightmare.

When Wyatt catches some thugs harassing the pretty daughter of his bosses, he doesn’t hesitate to call on his partner Clayton to kick some asses. But then he realizes what a temptation the sweet, sheltered Hope presents. Especially her naughty wish to unleash her inner vixen—with both of them.

Hope has no doubt her playmates want to fulfill her every desire, but something’s holding them back. She has an idea what those somethings are. With luck, and a little help from her Compass cousins to hold her fathers off, she’ll find what she needs in the shadows of the past—and convince them she’s found two men of her own who are worthy of her love.

Warning: Compass books bring love in every direction and every season. But not all of life’s moments are filled with joy. Take the good with the bad, and the steamy.

    Not good...

Once again i am finding the compass girls are not as enthralling as their fathers. I was not thrilled with Siennas book and Hope was no better. We are not getting to know these people like we did with the Compass brothers. I just don't care about them like i did with the brothers. It feels like different authors are writing about the girls and they just don't care so why should I? Too much is glossed over and left out. This book felt rushed and not detailing Vicky's announcement was wrong. I feel like I know nothing about Clay and Wyatt and how they got together. I can only hope when the Compass boys grow up and get their books things are better.

Finally another Compass Girls book!! I feel like I've been waiting forever for this book to release. :) Just like every other Compass story written by these two, this one will make you tear up a bit. I see where this is going for Vivi, but it doesn't make me any less to know what must be coming. This book is pretty emotionally heavy. Wyatt is one of the most stubborn jack asses I've read in a while. lol Eventually he comes around and wins me over, but I was worried about him for a bit. And poor Clayton...I wanted him to walk away from Wyatt a few times but I see why he stayed. He saw what Wyatt tried so hard to hide. He knew the true man inside. Hope is made of some strong stuff too. After a horrifying experience, she still goes after what she wants...a threesome. :) After she gets her threesome her wants turn to her men. I love her persistence and her strong stubborn streak. She doesn't put up with getting hurt by Wyatt and in the process even stands up for Clayton. Of course in the end we have a happy couple and I'm a happy Kitty. I'm so glad Jayne and Mari decided to write the Compass Girls. I wasn't ready to say goodbye to Compass Pass. Um ladies can I have the Compass Boys next??? Pretty please? I'll happily beg!

    Not good

    ## Not good. Both Hope and Sienna's stories were terrible. Maybe it's not fair to keep comparing them to the Compass Brothers, but even if I didn't, I really would've disliked Hope's story. Clay and Wyatt's characters are extremely underdeveloped. As was their relationship with Hope. And I hated how needy the heroine was. The men turn her down over and over and she just keeps throwing herself at them. Jeez, have some pride lady! The whole story seemed childish and incredibly rushed. They have sex once and Hope's already saying "I won't ever let you go", "you're mine forever".Truly disappointing. Sorry, but I won't be buying the rest of this series.

Absolutely love it. Jayne and Mari have done it once again. They have given us a fabulous story. Hope may seems like a softy but she is a Compton and those women are strong. Wyatt has some demons to battle but he has two people who love him to help heal those wounds. This is a must read if you are a fan of the Compass Ranch.

    Disappointed

This was definitely not one of her better books. The brother's series I felt had more detail. This seems rushed and I'm not getting whole story.

Eh...could have been better as well...

This second book was a bit better than the first one though not by a long shot. While it had a bit more going on in the beginning it just didn't flow for me. I understand that Hope is the nicest one of the bunch but her needy tendencies were quite frankly disgusting. I didn't like how she kept groveling to Clay and Wy, grow a pair and tell them to f*ck off!

It would have been nice to delve a bit deeper into Clay and Wy's characters, they were kind of thrust into the book with a short background history and a very sketchy physical description. Heck it wasn't even until the last few pages that ink work and piercings were mentioned.

The Compass Brothers was a very good series, I cried a lot when JDs illness came out and all throughout until his death. It was very touching. I want to feel that way about Vicky's disease but its hard when everything is so glossed over! This series is turning out to be a huge disappointment!
