If you read this book with an open mind, whatever race you may be, you will find a very smart, intelligent man, that thinks fast on his feet full of life and a love for this country. He is a nothing less than a leader. Please Read.

I have given this book to many people. I am a republican who will vote for this man. It helps you to understand who he is because of his upbringing. He is able to view the world through a broader spectrum. A Must Read.

I was immediately turned off because of the poor quality of the pictures and the quality of the paper. I returned it to the store.

There are two ways of looking at this book. The first is as the chronicle of one biracial man's journey from a stormy childhood into a national inspiration. The other is as a propoganda piece for the Obama-rama going on in the country. There is no doubting the author carries a favorable view of the senator (and an unkind one for the current president). The brisk pace of the book and upbeat writing is more in line with a large campaign brochure you'd pick up at an Obama event than something you'd actually spend money on at your local retailer. Nice photos, good detail on his early life, but I didn't come away stunned and impressed by the senator's story told in the book.
