He garnered an honourable mention and People's Choice award in the professional plates category in the 1993 Victoria Salon Culinaire.
When John is not in the kitchen, he loves to ride his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, hike with his golden retriever Anna, play guitar, and spend time with his family. John lives with his wife Pauline and their three children, Jordan, Connor, and Daniel.
