All the melancholy vampire wanted was to share the true, tragic sadness of immortality with the likes of the loudmouth loony vampire Stacey, who seemed to think being a vampire was just one big party. In fact, Sebastian was SURE Stacey needed a friend like him, who valued his intellect and unique viewpoint on life...
(Stop laughing.)
So you can imagine Sebastian's delight when -- one night at the House of Ecstasy -- he's included in on a meeting with Stacey and his friends... finally, he's one of the gang! But the meeting is anything but enlightening, as the vampires are concerned about the presence of the Morning Star Slashers -- a vicious group of vampire hunters -- in the city.
The Slashers are the worst of the worst, and are fully of the "we had to burn the village down in order to save it" mindset -- if there's a group of them loose in L.A., it meant BIG trouble for the city's vampires... and the potential for a lot of uncomfortable collateral damage that'd be hard to cover up from the rest of the world.
Stacey and his friends want to keep the news quiet, as they're not totally certain about the numbers of Slashers in the city, and if too many other vampires knew, it could start a panic.
Yeah, the Slashers are THAT bad.
Despite the direness of the situation, Sebastian is glad to be part of the group, and swears secrecy on the matter. And then, a few nights later, he awakens to discover that his coffin is being stolen... while he's IN it!
Abducted by the Morning Star Slashers and dragged behind their vehicle while trapped in his coffin, Sebastian is helpless to warn the other vampires, and the most horrible revelation of all still awaits him...
Because the world is NOT a nice place.
You'll cringe, roll your eyes, and laugh out loud as the story unfolds, and when Sebastian's horrific hell-ride runs it course at the hands of his sadistic captors... you may find out that YOU'RE not as nice as you like to think you are!
