This book is great for horse lovers, pony clubber, vets, and 4-Hers. It goes in depth on some things that it seems at times that you have to have a dictionary to understand. But all in all a fantastic book of refrence.

Evans does a good job of educating first time horse owners and re-educating us 'old timers' This book has a little of everything, but not too much of 'nothing'. Good reference for owners, breeders, instructors and nutritionists.

In Colorado, we use this book for a program called Horse advancement levels. Levels III and IV use this book. I think any horse person should own this book. Its deff. worth the money!

I think any horse person should spend the money to buy this book. It has everything from vices to colors to breeds. It's a nice book to look in if you need a quick answer. It's also easy to understand!
