Yet when he was wounded and near death, it was the gentle hands of the wildly beautiful Lark that nursed him back to life—and made desire rage in his heart. As the cruel vengeance of their two worlds threatened their very lives, they clung to each other—until the past's bitter memories were lost in the magnificent fires of all-consuming love.

    Interesting Western

This book is a history lesson about a period in our less than noble past. There was such cruelty between the whites and anybody of another color. Such intolerance. The Native Americans were not so great either, but maybe they had reason since we tried to steal anything and everything they had. Ok, enough of my preaching. The book is about greed, revenge, struggle, sorrow, redemption, rising above adversity, and love. Everything you need for a very good story, read it.
