Let the Spirit live inside you!

Are you hungry for an encounter with Jesus? Do you want to make an impact on the world?

In this power-packed book, Bill Johnson discusses how you can be a person who hosts the Presence of God. Though all believers obviously have the Spirit of God within them, there is more that enables you to be so full that you overflow His Spirit into your world. Take a journey and meet many great prophets and kings from the Old Testament who were known as people of the Presence—people who, in Johnson’s words, “God wanted to be with.” In this succinct and powerful book, Johnson encourages you toward a pursuit of the Presence of God above all else.

In this book, you will discover:

  •   How to pay attention to the Holy Spirit and respond to Him.
  •   How the Holy Spirit manifests Himself.
  •   Biblical figures who were hungry for more of God’s Spirit and learned to host Him.
  •   Stories of Presence-filled revivalists and personal encounters with the Presence!

Bill Johnson writes: “We are enabled to partner with the Kingdom of Heaven and see it released here on earth! The Presence of God within us will bring reformation to the world around us—encountering a loving God!”

Host more of Him today!

Living in the Presence of God

Best-selling author Bill Johnson reveals profound insight into the ways of the Holy Spirit as he challenges the reader to consider and ponder question designed to stimulate and inspire the depth, inference, and life changing impact of the reality of hosting God’s presence.

“Hosting the Presence: Unveiling Heaven’s Agenda” opens with extraordinary stories of healing exemplified in the lives of Peter, Jesus, and Paul as recorded in the New Testament Gospels and in the book of Acts. Additional examples are drawn from the lives of Moses, Abraham, Jacob, and David in the Old Testament. The book is filled with solid Biblical instruction, meaningful analogies, and foundation truths.

I was moved by the stories of spirit filled revivalists who had personal encounters with the Presence. These accounts include, D. L. Moody, Mel Tari, John G. Lake, George Whitefield, and many others.

A gifted and anointed communicator, Bill Johnson writes with clarity, passion, and empowerment. In my spiritual quest to release God’s power into the circumstances of life, I want to encompass Bill’s exhortation on the importance of fellowship, communion, companionship, and partnership. I also want to heed his admonition to beware of allowing the hindrances of busyness, shame, and pride from robbing me from the experience of “Hosting the presence.”

A complimentary copy of the book was provided for review purposes. The opinions expressed are my own.

Every believer must confront the "point" of his or her Christian life.

As I read this book, the question pastor Bill Johnson raised in my heart was, "Will I make the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit the focus and sole priority of my life and ministry?" I am responding to that question with a, "Yes."

It is difficult for me to single out one or two praise-worthy elements of this book. Rather, the whole argument for hosting His presence as the "one thing" we most long for--and are designed for--builds steadily and powerfully from chapter to chapter. The case is biblical and compelling. The invitation is personal and urgent. Bill's open-hearted communication and pastor's gifting makes the possibility of me actually entering and sustaining a lifestyle of intimacy in and with God's presence something I believe will happen as I give myself to Him.

Thanks pastor Bill. In my eyes, this is your best book yet.

Outstanding book on understanding the presence of God

This is a really good book on understanding and nurturing the presence of God in your life. I highly recommend it. I have seen few books that address this topic so it fills a void.
