HOT TO THE FINISH BURNS UP THE PAGES!

Start your engines for the third adrenaline packed installment in USA Today's bestselling author, Erin McCarthy's contemporary romance series Fast Track going full-on pedal to the mettle in HOT FINISHf which released the summer of 2010 by Berkley Sensations.

Ryder Jefferson is the sole reason I had to read HOT FINISH. After reading the back cover and scouring USA Today's bestselling author, Erin McCarthy's website to get every morsel I could about this hot sexy Fast Track series. Ryder Jefferson is a larger than life character because he isn't your typical gorgeous Adonis character with a chiseled face and sculpted body-even though he is a walking talking girl's wet dream. He is unconditional in that Ryder wants to share his feelings; he's a romantic at heart and will do anything to win his ex-wife... I meant wife, Suzanne Jefferson back. Still clueless after all this time why Suzanne walked out on him. He thought they had a great marriage. He loved her. She loved him. They had no problem in the bedroom department. Every time they're in the same room the sexual tension is like an atom bomb waiting to explode.

Even though HOT FINISH takes place in the stock car racing world-which I know nothing about-and is fictional Ms. McCarty weaved an intricate story of a second chance on love. Making us believe that with love the heart will heal and in trusting that one special person you can conquer any fear. To read more you'll need to get a copy of HOT FINISH and let the Fast Track race into your heart

Not my favorite of the series

Hot Finish is the third book in Erin McCarthy's Fast Track series centering around NASCAR race car drivers. Suzanne and Ryder Jefferson married young and could never seem to talk about their marriage problems. After a few years they divorced feeling it was for the best. But Suzanne and Ryder somehow seem to keep the other still in their life, not to mention the pesky little problem of still having feelings for the other. Suzanne and Ryder are once again thrust together when the wedding Suzanne is planning is a NASCAR wedding the Ryder is the best man of the groom. To complicate matters it turns out the divorce papers were never signed properly and Suzanne and Ryder are still legally married.

Hot Finish was a major disappointment for me. I really enjoy Erin McCarthy's writing. I loved her last Fast Track novel, Hard and Fast choosing it as a top read for last year. With that in mind I was really looking forward to her next release. The main reason for my disappointment was that Suzanne was such a B*TCH!!! Honestly, she was not a very nice person. She was always griping and complaining. It was made even more glaringly obnoxious because Ryder was always so considerate and generous with her. I just couldn't stand the way she would treat him. Granted I will say that some of her behavior I could understand, but most of the time it just grated on my nerves.

Fortunately, Hot Finish is a well written book, with good dialogue between the NASCAR boys and the camaraderie between Suzanne and her friends. It's funny and fast paced like McCarthy's other books, but I just couldn't stand the heroine. If it wasn't for the stellar story telling I would haven't even finished the book. If you don't mind a prickly, b*tch heroine with a stick up her butt, then maybe you will enjoy this more than I did.

    Another Great Read

This is the 3rd of the series, it was terrific. I cant get enough of this series, I read all three this past weekend. Looking forward to the 4th March 2011. The romance, and plots of these books are so original. If you arent a race car fan dont worry it isnt all that involved in the stories. Great work Erin.

    Great Series

I really love this series. I was a little disappointed with Hard and Fast because I could not stand the female character, she was a walking contradiction! But all in all very entertaining, quick and sexy reads. I will always think of Hot Finish when I eat strawberries and champaign in the future! ;)

Hot and so real, you feel like you're there

The characters in this story are wonderfully fleshed out and given such strong, sensual personalities to roll with the crises that they face in their relationships. I couldn't put this book down, but when I did, I was so anxious to return to my Nook ASAP to read more. Race car fans will appreciate the backdrop, but the love stories are the main focus in this series. Very human, down-to-earth, yet an exciting romance I won't soon forget!

    One hot ride

Hot Finish by Erin McCarthy is a full throttle romance. You better buckle up cause it's a wickedly fun and sexy ride.

Suzanne Jefferson life is out of control. She is flat broke and trying to make a go of it as a wedding planner. The bride is a bridezilla on wheels which is enough to give anyone a headache. If that wasn't bad enough her ex-husband is the best man. Suzanne is still dealing with the end of their marriage that happened two years ago. Dang that Ryder Jefferson for still making her motor run.

Ryder Jefferson still likes to look out for ex-wife Suzanne. Even after the break up of their marriage she is constantly on his mind. He is floored when a mix up has them still married. Ryder figures since he is in the wedding party this will give him access to pour on the charm and get Suzanne back in his bed.

Suzanne and Ryder never had any problems in the bedroom. That for sure hasn't changed but can they learn from their past and work on staying married.

Hot Finish is a must have for any romance lover. Its fast paced, delightfully funny and touching. Ryder and Suzanne have gone through a lot during and after their marriage. Their willingness to bend has them coming out with a better relationship then they ever had. Erin McCarthy's delivers another priceless read. I am always eager to read the next book by this author.

    I Also Recommend:

    Hot Finish Finishes Fair!

McCarthy's latest novel, Hot Finish, the third in her Fast Track Series, continues with the story of Suzanne and Ryder- favorite characters who made appearances in the first two novels. As a huge fan of both Erin McCarthy and the Fast Track Series, I had been anticipating this novel with glee. However, I was slightly disappointed after having loved the previous two stories. Her main characters in this novel somehow did not seem to match their previous characterizations in the previous books, and Ryder especially seemed weak and ineffective. However, overall McCarthy did spin a good tale, with somewhat raunchier sexual content than earlier in the series. If you enjoyed the previous two Fast Track books, you still should enjoy this story as well.

The latest Fast Track tale is a fun somewhat hot second chance at love

Being totally broke Suzanne Jefferson is no longer able to perform charity work as she needs to bring in income. She returns to her previous profession of wedding planner though she wishes she did not have to.

Her first client is Bridezilla, but worse is the best man is her former husband Flat Out Sexy Ryder. To her chagrin, she finds out they are not exes as she thought as they remain married. Ryder, on the other hand, is euphoric to learn he and Suzanne remain married. He wants a second chance, but time is running out as the court date to finalize their divorce is set. Though wanting to go Hard and Fast, Ryder tries going slowly in spite of the lack of time, but good intentions of taking his time ends with what they always managed to have great sex together.

The latest Fast Track tale is a fun somewhat hot second chance at love. The lead couple is a wonderful pairing of two people in love with her insisting it is only lust. Although the plot is thin especially when compared to previous Fast Track tales, fans will enjoy watching the desperate antics of a married couple at cross purposes.
