Hot Flashes: Rare High Quality Short Lived Bands

All Music Guide - Thom Jurek
Vintage Musical Productions does it again! Hot Flashes: Rare High Quality Short Lived Bands features the now-underground jazz of the 1920s and '30s. The tunes collected here are mostly by acts that cut only a couple of sides and disappeared into the ether of musical history. Check out the wailing blues of the "Greasy Plate Stomp" by Trombone Red & His Blue Six, or the hard strut of "Deep Henderson" by Charlie Skeete, or even the killer "One 'O Clock Blues," by Joe Tibbs & His Connies Inn Orchestra. There is fine music galore here for any vintage jazz fan, and most of these cuts have never seen the light of day on CD before.
