    Fun, Flirty Summertime Short.

HOT FOR SUMMER (short story #5 from Beach Flirts!) by Lisa Scott may be the shortest story in the Beach Flirts! collection, but it's not short on romance, human nature, a woman with a mind of her own, a TALL drink of water named Jason (NBA forward), a clique of Mean Girls, and a Diner on the outs. I loved seeing the various threads of the short story collection come together, weaving in all the various plots, characters, stories, and having them come to a satisfying conclusion. Summer, the main character of this short, is feisty, strong, and knows what she wants....but isn't willing to compromise and risk another broken heart. I ADORE her strength, her determination to treat the Mean Girls with cool indifference (and clueless abandon), and to stick to her guns so this summer ends up being a good one and not another reason she's hurt. Very well done-- and in so few pages.

    Sensuality Level: PG
