Overview

A sweet and sexy romance from New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Jessie Evans.

Too hot to handle…

Faith Miller has faith in two things—her surrogate firehouse family, and her own two hands—and she needs a man in her life like a fish needs a bicycle. Growing up watching her mom get used and discarded by one deadbeat boyfriend after another has left Faith jaded, and determined not to fall into the same trap. But when Mick Whitehouse moves back to Summerville, Faith’s happy, single life is turned upside down. The hunky carpenter is a far cry from the little boy she used to wrestle with on the playground in elementary school. Mick’s all grown up, tempting as sugar coated sin, and determined to seduce Faith into forgetting all her rules.

One kiss under the mistletoe and Mick Whitehouse knows that he wants Faith Miller. Bad. After years of lukewarm relationships with the wrong kind of girls, Mick is powerfully drawn to Summerville’s only female firefighter, and determined not to let her push him away. Beneath Faith’s tough exterior is a heart of gold, and the chemistry between them is four-alarm hot. But just as he convinces Summerville’s most confirmed bachelorette to take a chance on love, an old girlfriend waltzes into town and drops a bombshell in Mick’s lap.

As Faith and Mick come to terms with the shocking news, Faith must choose: let fear of repeating her mother’s mistakes send her running, or have faith in the man she’s come to love?

Fans of Bella Andre, Kristan Higgins, and Susan Mallery will love the Summerville romance series.

Meet the Author

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Jessie Evans, gave up a career as an international woman of mystery to write the sexy, contemporary romances she loves to read.

She's married to the man of her dreams, and together they're raising a few adorable, mischievous children in a cottage in the jungle. She grew up in rural Arkansas, spending summers running wild, being chewed by chiggers, and now appreciates her home in a chigger-free part of the world even more.

When she's not writing, Jessie enjoys playing her dulcimer (badly), sewing the worlds ugliest quilts to give to her friends, going for bike rides with her house full of boys, and drifting in and out on the waves, feeling thankful for sun, surf, and lovely people to share them with.

'Delightful' is the first word that comes to mind when describin

'Delightful' is the first word that comes to mind when describing how I feel about 'Hot For You' by Jessie Evans. I started smiling from the first words, and the good vibe continued throughout the entire book. Faith and Mick just work so well together, whether she wants to believe it or not. It's lovely to see the evolution of both characters, neither or whom is looking for a serious relationship at the beginning of their story. Both have had less than wonderful experience in the romance department, and Faith, especially, is gun-shy about getting involved with Mick. But things just work so nicely, and they both quickly realize that what they have is real.

One of the things that I love best about Jessie is her characters, and it's just sweet to see how Faith and Mick come to life here. We also get to see more of Naomi, Jake, Jamison, and Maddie, as well as characters from the 'Always A Bridesmaid' series, also set in Summerville. It made me, as a reader, feel the sense of community that comes from small-town living, and more invested to see how the rest of the 'Fire and Icing' series plays out.

This wouldn't be a romance if there wasn't some drama and conflict (hey, it just makes the resolution that much sweeter), but, as with all of Jessie's stories, love always wins. I obviously very much enjoyed, and very highly recommend, this and all of Jessie's books.

Fantastic read!  He's been burned by past relationships.  She's watched her mother go through men all her life.  This great story shows us how true love can survive all doubts and fears.  Funny, sexy, and real!  You won't be disappointed with this installment of Jessie Evan's Fire and Icing series.  Highly recommended.

    Good Book!

Hot for You by Jessie Evans is an enjoyable novel. The characters are likeable, kindhearted and real. This is a loving and sexy read that kept me engaged from beginning to end. Also, this book is slightly sweeter than the some of the other books I have read by Ms. Evans.

Firefighter Faith Miller is a strong, independent young woman. She loves her job and considers the people she works with to be her surrogate family. Although Faith claims she is not looking for love, it falls right onto her lap when Mick Whitehouse kisses her under the mistletoe. When she innocently gets rip-roaring drunk on New Year's Eve, it is Mick who takes care of her.

Mick Whitehouse is a charmer, in addition to being a successful computer programmer and competent contractor. His previous girlfriend was an emotional train-wreck, so he is extra cautious about getting involved once again. He has strong feelings for Faith and finally gets her to agree to date him.

Faith and Mick have wonderful chemistry, full of thrills and sparkles. I loved how their relationship slowly developed and how compassionate Mick was during Faith's situation with her mother. Faith's understanding and support about Mick's past put a smile on my face from ear to ear.

Ms. Evans always pens wonderful, imaginative romances. If you have some free time and want to read a solid, contemporary romance with a bit of spice, look no further than Hot for You.

I received an ARC from this author in exchange for an honest review.
