Overview

Book 2 in the Struck by Lightning Series. (SUNNY SAYS is Book 1.) A devastated professor/cancer researcher meets a burned out social worker in a New Orleans bakery. A humorous romance with light paranormal elements. Sensual.

HOT STREAK stars Sunny Larkin’s brother Neil, a biomedical researcher and professor, who shows up on a park bench in New Orleans just outside the bakery that Amy Jordan is managing temporarily. He’s at a low point in his life and badly in need of a sympathetic ear–and Amy is a former social worker with an enormous heart and a soft spot for strays, odd street people, and gorgeous blond guys. And no way can she let that woebegone hunk just keep sitting there any longer with his nice suit soaking up the drizzle like a cork coaster. Turns out that Neil, like his sister Sunny, has some special gifts as a result of being hit by a lightning bolt as a child. He stays on to help Amy with the bakery, and she helps him rebuild his life. Lots of love, laughter, and sizzle as they find new ways to use Neil’s unusual abilities

Meet the Author

A fifth generation Texan, Jan Hudson is the author of over thirty romance novels and has won numerous awards and accolades, including the Golden Heart and the coveted RITA Award by the Romance Writers of America. She writes the kind of fast-paced stories she loves to read: those laced with humor, fantasy, and adventure, with bold characters who reach beyond the mundane and celebrate life. Her most memorable adventure was riding a camel to the Sphinx and climbing into the sarcophagus in the King’s chamber of the Great Pyramid. Her favorite food is fudge–with pecans. And Chunky Monkey is the best ice cream in the world–except maybe for a lovely pistachio she once had in Greece. In her spare time she likes to think about exercising or cleaning closets.

As her alter-ego, Dr. Janece O. Hudson, she is a former licensed psychologist, college teacher, and hypnotist. She's considered an expert in the field of dreams and has written a non-fiction book, "Into Your Dreams" about learning to interpret your unique dream symbols

I admit that I'm a huge Jan Hudson fan, watching and waiting for the next story to come out. I know these are re-releases, but I crave her telling of the story, because it's down to earth, and about people so real that I easily identify with them, especially the heroine who sticks her nose in a stranger's business, and I like to think like the one who stood her ground despite those out to stop her. I just finished her Struck By Lightening series - Sunny Says, Hot Streak, and Sweet Land of Liberty. The series is fun, heartfelt, and left me smiling.
