Overview

Raina Ballard, a motorcycle loving, guitar playing, honor student, would have been just fine living in the college dorm her freshman year, but her wacky, new-age mom thought it best to uproot the entire family and move to their mountain cottage on the outskirts of Asheville, North Carolina. Raina's new home lies just a few miles away from a creepy and very mysterious eighteenth century Renaissance-style mansion.

Raphael, who has recently returned from doing archeological work in Turkey, is instantly infatuated with Raina. Raina finds herself equally intrigued with her mysterious neighbor, even after she accidentally discovers his family secret.

Throw in a nosy cop crushing hard on Raina's mom, a cranky caretaker, and a demon from the old world hell-bent on revenge, and Raina's life will never be normal again.

House of Despicable Beauty is the first book in a trilogy.
