Meet the Author

Kristi Gold began her romance-writing career at the tender age of 12 when she and her sister spun romantic yarns involving a childhood friend and a popular talk-show host. Since that time, she's given up celebrity heroes for her favorite types of man, doctors and cowboys, since her husband is both. She attributes much of her success to her sister who encouraged her in her writing, and her die-hard critique group who stuck with her even during the tough times.

In 1996, she was a Romance Writers of America Golden Heart double finalist and went on to be a finalist in several regional contests, but it wasn't until July 1999 that she received the all-important call from Silhouette.

For Kristi, inspiration sometimes comes from unlikely places, including songs and real life events. She's a write-by-the-seat-of-your-pants author who believes in the power of love and the healing properties of tortilla chips and queso. She prides herself on writing real people with real problems, then sending them on a journey of the heart to happily-ever-after.

When she's not in her office writing her current book, carting active kids to various events, or struggling with the dreaded treadmill, she's dreaming about the next story and asking "what if..."
