Nothing really new here. Just another way for an already very wealthy author who used to give us our money's worth to make even more money for doing hardly any work at all. If I had known that this was going to be mostly a rehash of previously published material with little new material to make it worth the cost, I would have declined the offer.

Enjoyed the short story but it was just that- short. Although we had hints from earlier works about the main story line, it was nice to get more in depth information on King Roger and his relationships and family as well as more in depth information on the how's and why's of his drive to bring Manticore into a position of strength enough to resist the P.R.H. I know some will be disappointed in the lack of story length, I still think it was a worthwhile book and I am looking forward to what comes next.

Half novel (I Will Build My House of Steel) and half reference book (Honorverse Companion) that provides significant depth to the Honorverse story.
