This is the story of Jason Chaser, a talented young racer who is selected to attend the famed International Race School, the brutal gateway to the Professional Circuit. Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Hover cars are the hottest things in transportation; they travel at incredible speeds and have replaced traditional automobiles in the sport of racing. Reilly, normally a writer of adult horror stories, turns to a young adult audience with this fast-paced and thoroughly exciting (though a bit predictable) tale. Jason Chaser and his younger brother, known only as "The Bug," are promising hover car racers who get a chance to enroll in the prestigious Tasmanian Race School. Jason's racing instincts are first rate, but he soon finds that a major part of professional racing is being able to survive the vicious attacks by other racers who will do anything to eliminate competition. In race after thrilling race, Jason and his brother gradually rise to the top and find themselves in the world's most challenging race, held in New York. Sean Mangan does an outstanding job of maintaining the pace of this story, narrating each race with just the right amount of enthusiasm and theatrics. A nail-biting suspense thriller.-Joseph L.
