Every little one has a bit of dinosaur in them and these large and lumbering creatures display a variety of ire-raising behavior. They awake grumpy, fuss with their food, throw sand at the playground, refuse to nap, kick the back of Mom's seat while she is driving, and flood the bathroom at bath time. For each naughty antic exhibited, they make up by blowing kisses, holding hands tightly when in the supermarket, cleaning up their mess, bestowing smiles that ooze with charm, and giving great big hugs. The gentle rhymes convey the message that while parents never condone the bad behavior, they always love the child. The constancy of a parents' love is a great reassurance for the child. Teague's familiar dinosaurs show a range of emotions from gleeful mischief, to remorse, and loving affection. They lend verve and spirit to the illustrations. The ninth from this author/illustrator pair featuring the dinosaurs is similar in format to the others and while the freshness may be waning the appeal is still there. The situations are familiar: "Out in the sandbox/you threw lots of sand./You ran from the slide,/after slapping my hand." Expressions are expertly painted for humorous effect, including the defiant Tsintaosaurus letting water overflow onto the floor and the rollicking Pachycephalosaurus kicking the seat while mother is driving the car. The large, colorful spreads and rhyming text that is still a joy to listen to after repeated readings make this a successful storytime selection.     Another Great Dinosaur Book from Yolen and Teague

    My 2 year old son adores this series (we read "How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight" every night for at least a year) and "How Do Dinosaurs Say I Love You" does not disappoint. Its a great book to cuddle up and read before bedtime. The illustrations are great (as always) and it gives you the opportunity to repeatedly tell your child you love them - what could be better?

    Fun, big, and colorful illustration. My 2 year old enjoys this book. Also check out The Journey of a Grape. My son likes this book a lot.

    We love this book!!!

    Great book for 4 and 5 year olds-it is sweet and endearing, yet appeals to children's love of the silly and outrageous! Every dinosaur lover should have this series of books in their library!

    A must read !

    This is such a sweet book! The entire series is so fun! We laugh and make up different voices for each dinosaur. Great way to learn and teach all the different dinos. We can read it over and over. A highly recommend book!

    3-year old loves it!

    I gave this to my 3-year old grandson for his birthday. He loved it and requested it every night as a bedtime story for the 5 days I was there. Also, his 5-year old brother loved it so he could discuss each of the dinosaurs.

    4 year old grandson loves it!

    My 4 year old grandson is a dinosaur fanatic so I ordered this book and How do Dinosaurs Say Good Night for him for Valentines Day. When they arrived I thought they might be be a little too cute for him but according to his mother, she had to read both of them to him 4 times the day he received them and several times since. He loves them.

    Grandson's favorite

    My twin daughters got this for my 3 yr old grandson for Christmas because the story reminded them of him! It is sweet and engaging...especially since they also got the dinosaur to go with it! He loves having it read to him every night.
