Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Cathi I. White
Children love reading books about animals and this wonderful book will not disappoint them or any adult reader. As humans, we tell each other “I love you.” But do animals do the same? Children will find out that even though animals cannot talk, they can communicate their love. For example, giraffe uses her long neck to express her love. Nightingale sings and peacock struts his feathers. Elephant uses her trunks to say I love you. And Mama Cow likes to lick and nuzzle her baby to say she loves him. Young children will enjoy reading how other animals express their love, but will also appreciate the beautifully drawn illustrations that make the story come to life. Parents will take delight in reading this book with their young children. Children will want to read this pleasant book again and again. This educational book could be used at home and in the classroom to teach children about how animals communicate with each other. Reviewer: Cathi I. White; Ages 3 to 6.
