    childhood memories

I remember this book, it was my favorite when I was about 5 or 6 years old (I am now 45). I loved hearing my Dad read it aloud to me. I wish I could get a copy for my 8 year old son!

    Fantastic and memorable Children Book

This is such a great book that it has stayed with me throughout my childhood and into my adult years. It pops into my head every once and a while and I am able to remember the artists pictures and the story clearly. I am surprised it is not available for children growing up at this time to read. This story shows loyalty and friendship which are great traits for a child to learn. If you can pick up a used copy I highly recommend this book. I just wish my copy had not gotten lost in one of my many moves.

    gotta have it!!!!!!

My mother still has the original book and reads this book to my nieces and nephews. We all are fighting over who gets the book. I cannot believe that this book is still available because it is easy to understand and read.

    A delightful book!

I have this book (the Original) from when I was a child. I was delighted to find that it is still available so that I may share it with my family's younger generation. This book brings back fond memories of childhood and is a cute story about a dog and the little girl he belongs to.
