My schoolmate won Best books 2006 National Awards!!

'Award Winner of 2006' I go to JP Stevens High School in Edison, NJ and i'm very proud to say that my friend's sister, who also went to our school, wrote this book! She wrote it with her father who was a merchant marine ship captain. The book describes his experiences and how he used the principles, also included in the book for others to use, that led to his success. It's a really exciting read and even though it is a non-fiction book, the story is terrific! I found out through some reviews and articles in newspapers that this book won 2 Best Books 2006 National awards!!! I was so excited, this book really deserves this kind of national acclaim. I would definitely definitely recommend this book to anyone of any age who is interested in making their futures big. Everyone from JP Stevens should be proud and read this book! Congratulations Mr. Captain and Teja!!

Good read of combination of real story and lessons, can easily be put into practice

One of the few books on the active Merchant Marine adventure. Authurs have tried best to simplify with least technical terminologies. Story was very readable and written and lessons seem fairly practical and can be easily put into practice.

    A True Tale Of Greed

How I Made A Quarter Of A Million Dollars In Just Two Days by Captain Sanjay Mahadeshwar and Teja Mahadeshwar points out the total lack of ethics involved while making the Quarter Of A Million Dollars In Just Two Days. Captain Sanjay Mahadeshwar claims to be a Master Mariner and during the fulfillment of this particular contract let a polluting dump of a ship out to sea once he made his money. It is difficult to believe that any ship would think of running away by cutting the ropes under the watchful eye of the US Coast Guard. I mean it has never happened even once so far, besides the description of the vessel was such that I doubt that it could go anywhere fast. As a Master Mariner he failed in his duty when he helped in hushing up the true state of the ship for which he recieved a bribe of a Quarter Of A Million Dollars. On the whole a tale of greed and deciet and something that brings shame to the profession.

Good read, nicely written true story and principles

How I made a quarter million dollars in two days and the how-to principles behind it. It is indeed a unique combination of Captains two days story and it is like fiction and a real page turner our Old man on the ship said,'I could not sleep the whole night reading this book'. The flash backs are really nice. Principles are simple to put into practice. If I put into practice all that is written here I will surely become very rich. It is a great read all the book lovers all over especially those who like water, sea, ships but especially for us Merchant mariners but for Pilots,Oil Company guys, ship agents, marine managers, port Captains and freight forwarders anyone who is connected with ships.

It is indeed a good read a combination of true story with simple but helpful principles

I liked the dedication of this book to start with. It just removes the EGO completely. It is nice to read first part of this book which is fast pace story of Capt. Sanjay from his Merchant Marine days with excellent writing skill with timely flashbacks and ends with a jaws dropping climax. Then second part is with simple but philosophical Upanishds and principles written by Teja which makes you think. If anybody wants to achive any altitude in life, here is a book to not only read but bribe your children to read, they can take steps to fulfill their dreams. There are many ideas you may not know unless you read the whole library.
