The only way that I can imagine that anyone would buy this book is online. If you paged through it in a bookstore, you would see that it is devoid of content. Many of the pages are simply blank (YOU are supposed to write in them). There are unreadable copies of lab reports (they look like a fax of a fax of a fax of a photocopy). Once in a while I thought I had finally found something useful, but after the initial idea was mentioned, the author gave no explaination or clarifying discussion. Doesn't anyone examine these books for content?
This is not a book that I could use at all. The author describes his life and changes when he was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis--excessive exercise, high soy diet, city water--not at all my sedentary, balanced diet, country well water existence. I had hoped to find some answers. I am glad it worked for him. Maybe I will find help along the way.
I was looking for help with hashi's. If you've not had it, you don't know how it dogs you and you feel up and down, and just out of sorts much of the time. I want to thank the author for giving concise information about how he lowered his antibodies. I was already on the same trail, but with a little different things to take. I will be bringing my antibody number down. It's over 900. When I get that report I'll be contacting him to thank him again.
After being diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease I immediately started looking for information. I bought this book because I wanted to look at alternative methods versus going straight on to medication. This book was a great starting point for me and gives websites and other books to read in the back of this book. It is easy to read and packed with information for the starting point. I would recommend reading this book and getting as much information as possible before making any decisions. Inform yourself with all books and websites. Find a great doctor to work with even though it make take a few to go through before you find the right one for you.
