Well it depends on what you want to write about. Maybe you could mix paranormal romance with futuristic society and make the last living humans live in a compound with strict rules where the girls are scholars and doctors and the boys are in the military. Any rule breakers are given dirty work and at age sixteen seven people are chosen for spy work and government. Outside the compound is where shapeshifters roam. One girl choseb to be one of the sevrn breaks the rule by falling in love with a shape shifter. Or you can do historical fiction and do a ww2 nazi germany novel. Or perhaps about how the war affected a nation involved in that war that not many people talk about. Or go with mideval times with an epic story about the knighthood of a holy roman soldier. Maybe you could do a story on tge crusades, or about ancient China. Or a cryptic or futuristic verdion of a common fairy tale. Do a well known story from a different persons perspective. I hope I helped.

[Note: This is an idea that has been floating in my head fir quite some time now. But feel free to use it.]<p>
A story about Mother Nature. She is a girl who's father is Father Time, mother is a normal human. Her sisters and brother are Sister Summer, Brother Winter, Sister Spring, and Brother Autumn. But Pitch Dark, the lord of Nightmares, has corrupted her mind, and she has to stop herself before she goes insane and causes the Global Warming and ends up killing her Father, which would lead to an actual apocalypse. All while dealing with a cheating boyfriend. You can decide the actual names for the brothers and sisters and father and mother. The girl's name is Halycone.

Make a story where there is a young boy who lives in the street slums of a war savaged new york city, with the the only high light of his life: underground boxing. But when a high security transporter crash lands and the only survivar is the daughter of a very high aristocrat. But things get worse when a terrorist group is planing on capturing the daughter and shooting the floating paradise out of the sky, so all of the aristocrats must face the same living conditions as everyone else.
