Overview

A delightfully evil gift, How to Be a Villain is a step-by-step guide to joining the forces of darkness. Because, though villains may never win, they sure have more fun, hatching master plans for world domination, smoothing their dastardly tights. Neil Zawacki answers all the most urgent questions: Should I go with a black or red theme? Do I invest in an army of winged monkeys or ninja warriors? And just where will I put the evil hideout? Whether readers choose to pursue a career as a Criminal Mastermind, Mad Scientist, Corporate Bastard, or just a Wanna-be Evil Genius, they are sure to find plenty of tips for jumpstarting any evil enterprise. Cheaper than attending the annual bad guy conference and way more fun than being good, How to Be a Villain is guaranteed to elicit deep-throated evil laughs across the land.

Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
Villains always lose, but let's face it; they have more fun. Hatching dastardly plots, almost achieving global domination, these unrepentant fiends do what they will until the Goody Two-Shoes of the world catch up with them in the final chapter. Neil Zawacki, a California-based freelance writer and secret evildoer, has concocted a sly step-by-step guide to joining the forces of darkness.

Now I Know I'll Never Be Alone

Finally, some step-by-step instructions on all the things I need to accompany my already finely honed evil laugh! This is so much better than the mere secret handshake to which the world's Pollyannas resort. As the only girl in a family of five boys, I knew there had to be a handbook out there just for miscreants like me, and I really, really can't wait to start practicing. Also, I just love the 'triple six' in the ISBN number!

    Political Humor? Indeed.

Found this particular book on the 'Political Humor' aisle end display at the local B&N. At first I thought it might have been mis-placed, but now I realize it was exactly where it belonged! Quotes from Pinky & The Brain and Mr. Burns, the aforementioned quiz, and the delightful illustrations all combine to make this a keeper. You need this book. Even if you are not an aspiring villain.

    A must for every miscreant!

Now I know where to put that secret lair, laugh evilly, and even conquer the world! Muahahaa! All I have to do is avoid holy water and the crucifix ('Aargh! It burns!')!

    Hilarious!

I found this on the 'Humorous, Helpful & Odd' table at my local Barnes & Noble. It was, indeed, all three. A hilarious afternoon read, it has helped me prepare my army of winged monkeys to aid in my quest for world domination. And it also pointed me in the direction of the appropriate evil costume and secret lair.

    What a crack-up!

Neil Zawacki has tongue firmly in cheek for this one. 'How to Be a Villain' includes practical tips on everything from getting started with the forces of darkness to developing your evil plan, helpful hints on career choices, costume and henchmen selection, as well as notes on real estate suitable for use as an evil lair. Even includes a 'How Evil Are You'-type quiz. It's a riot!
