I am currently going through a very difficult phase of my marriage. I can honestly say that this book helped me put everything, not just my marriage, but life! in perspective. I am a more enlightened, focused, better person for having read and digested this book. It is not to be read quickly as the information is very condensed and insightful. There were so many parts of this book that resonated with me. While I cannot convince my spouse that reading books like this could be life-changing, this one has been for me AND, best of all, it has helped me to understand others and how to interact with and deal with them on a truly 'adult' and functional level. If you are looking for a book that can help you understand yourself and others and get you on the path to psychological and spiritual integration, this one is it! Go out and buy it right now. It will be the best $10 you ever spend.

I have read many books on relationships and I have been disappointed many times. This book, however, is not one of those. It helps us put not only our relationships but also our lives in perspective and provides us with extremely useful advice about life and relationships. I think I can honestly say that I am a more mature person after working with this book. If you are interested in this topic, you will also like 'The Ever-Transcending Spirit' by Toru Sato because it is a very fascinating theoretical book on human development and relationships! It provides us with a map of where we are and where we are going in our development and our evolution as living beings. Both of these books are just excellent!
