Take a good long look at your life. I can't guarantee this will help. A great many anime series are based on real life. In fact a lot of them don't have any magic or monsters in them at all. Since those are so realistic then you can just ignore all of this and get on with your life like nothing happened. Just watch out for serial killers.
For the rest of you, think hard about these questions.
Do you live in Japan; spend a lot of time hearing about what is happening in Japan, or a world where Japanese culture is prevalent? (Technically it's alien culture, but they've been coming to Japan for so long that there are hardly any differences left.)
Do you use more hair products than everyone in Hollywood combined or does anyone you know have hair that comes in primary colors or defies gravity?
Do things keep crashing in the nearby lake?
Is there an unholy combination of a cat and some other animal, person, or machine cutely rubbing against your leg?
Does every girl you know dress in uniforms, clingy outfits that show off their bodies, or swimsuits, and yet claim that any boy who stares at them is a pervert? (Okay, this happens in real life too.)
If so then you need this book!
Now with all new information!
This book has everything that makes anime what it is and what to do if you find yourself in the anime universe! This includes tips on:
The Judge's rules for the most popular sport in anime... Stalking.
What not to discuss with an anime fan.
Dealing with evil multiple personalities.
Identifying types of anime villains and heroes and how to beat them... or join them.
How to break up with someone who can blow up a planet and get your true love.
Why you can never have privacy, especially in the bathroom.
Explanations for why parents in anime have to either abandon their children or die.
Unique anime laws of physics such as being able to hear the engine when you are outside the space ship, how and why people have 30 gallons of blood in their veins, and why a little girl with magic powers in love is the deadliest force in the universe.
And so much more!

Possibly the most comprehensive collection of anime humor and cliches you will ever find. Or if not you'll still get a chuckle out of this. Plus the cover acts as a cosplay mask while you're reading. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
