Amber Benson
AMBER BENSON co-created, co-wrote, and directed the animated supernatural web-series Ghosts of Albion with Christopher Golden, followed by a series of novels including Witchery and Accursed, and the novella Astray.     fun murder mystery

    Unlike the first 3 books which were fairly straight foward urban-fantasy style action, this is a locked-room murder mystery in the style of Agatha Christie and similar. A body, a host of suspects, and giant mansion set the stage. It walks nicely between providing details to let the reader solve some points, and holding back for the great reveal in the end. Like a good mystery some parts you can guess, and some parts you have to wait for. Really good, solid, read.

    Nope.....didnt' get better

    sorry this story is not for me. I can't stand whiney, feel sorry for me type characters....especially when they are supposed to be the major character in the book. I tried to read more than one of these death episodes but after this one, I quit midway through.

    Under the spell

    Amber Benson continues to shine and entertain with this latest venture into Death's Daughter series. Calliope is a woman that others can connect to being thrown into danger and intrigue while trying to keep her world from coming apart around her. add in the romance and comedy aspects and How to Be Death is a must read. Applause to Amber Benson and eagerly await the next book in the series.
