This book is a must have!

This book is amazing and a great resource! It's easy to read and, contains a wealth of information which is presented in a way that is practical and user friendly. As I support and assist my daughter in pursuing her dream of working in the entertainment industry, the tips, techniques and suggestions contained in "How To Model," have been invaluable. We take the book to every audition and, after only a couple months of obtaining the book, my daughter was signed by one of the top talent agencies in San Francisco. She has been working and having more opportunities than before. Anyone who wants to work in the entertainment industry and have information at their fingertips, information that is true and on point, should have "How To Model".

Mr. Marcus, thank you so much for sharing,

    Luz S.

    What an amazing book!!!!

Have you ever tried to look online for modeling or acting agencies or wondered what in the world does a composite sheet consist of or what does a go-see, one plus one or point of purchase mean? And don't even get me started about knowing the difference between an AEA, SAG or AFTRA. If you have wondered about these and other questions, I would strongly recommend you reading 'How to Become a Successful Commercial Model' by Aaron Marcus. He will even teach you how to write a great cover letter to agents. This book is packed with a lot of knowledge. If you or someone you know are thinking about a career in this industry, this is definitely the book you want to get. You would be amazed at the information that is shared and it is very easy to read and understand. Most people spend countless hours trying to get information about agents, directors, managers and also spend hundreds of dollars trying to buy different nooks to 'jump start' their career, the great news is all of that information can be found in this one inexpensive book! Please don't just take my word for it, buy it and try it for yourself!

    A reviewer

This book is the best thing since.... well sliced bread. The writeing is wonderful. The verbige and sentice structure are very understandible and relatible. I went to a meeting where I meet the writer and I must say, if you want to read a book where you want to know the write from the book this is the book for you. It is very relatible and is filled with wonderful advice. I went to my first photoshot the other day and I was very suprised. I did not fill nurvice ancd the photos turned out great. When it came down to it, I felt very propared and it showed in the shoot. I was very pleased with the outcome and, for the book its self, I loved it. If I owned a modeling school, this book would be a required book.

Valuable Info For the Aspiring Commercial Model

I have read the book and find that Aaron gives wonderful, valuable information for the aspiring and working models. I am a commercial Actor/Model, but have been on a 'sabatical'. Now as I read Aaron's book, I see many good bits of advice unavailable to me when I first started. Great book!

    Character First

Everything done by Aaron Marcus is genuinely helpful. As a mother of an aspiring actress and model, the book is a wonderful place to start getting information. It is informative and easy to read(especially when time is limited). I also think it is a good book for young people to read, because it is truthful without being discouraging. I have and will continue to recommend the book to others. I am convinced that Aaron Marcus really is interested in helping people succeed.

    Very Conversational

I had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Marcus before I read his book. We spent about 20 min talking about the business at a convention. I found him as a person very friendly and informative. I can honestly say his book is the same way. It is filled with a lot of important information for the commercial model, and it is written in a very conversational manner. Personally I felt as though I was still standing at this table at the convention listening to him as he talked to me. If you, or anyone you know is considering Commercial Modeling, this is a must read book.

An outstanding and comprehensive guide to modeling

I recently purchased How to become a Successful Commercial Model and read it cover to cover in 2 days. I was amazed at how much valuable information it contained. It covers every aspect of the modeling business and has numerous resources listed which are pricless!!! I have purchased other books on modeling and have been disappointed. This book has it all, and is the only resource needed when learning about this business. I am the mother of 16yo twin daughters who are aspiring models and this text has provided solid facts and ideas that have been extremely beneficial to me as I strive to promote their careers. Mr. Marcus is also very kind and helpful and this is the best money I have spent yet. Thank You Aaron Marcus!!!

    Even Santa needed Aaron's Book!

(Yes, Santa has a 'hobby' as an actor)! I must share that I wouldn't be where I am today, if I hadn't met Aaron Marcus or subsequently purchased and read his wonderful 'How-To' book. Shortly after I met Aaron, I was listed with a major national talent agency, have booked TV commercials, Print jobs, Voice, and Events through my entire network of regional agents across America - all thanks to one friendly, credible guy - Aaron Marcus. I attended a great seminar where Aaron shares best tips for creating a great commercial photo shoot. There and in his book, he helps you create a shot, improve the next shot, then finally create a third WOW shot, so the producers have lot's to chose from as they realize YOU can share lot's of emotion on film for their scrutiny! In addition to creating a great book, Aaron is a GIVER. I've been impressed to receive his free monthly newsletters - this guy CARES about you, me, and himself - he supports us actors, he's still a working actor himself! I consider my heavily-marked copy of his book as an actor's bible. Buy the book then look Aaron up on his webpage and make a new friend in the biz. And Aaron, hugs from Santa for helping my wonderful talent career, I landed 7 TV ads in 2004.

    a must..

Reading this book should be mandatory for anyone looking to enter the commercial modeling business. I read ¿How to Become a Successful Commercial Model¿ in November of 2004 and I can honestly say I don¿t know what I would have done without it. I had always been interested in the type of modeling that appears in magazines and catalogues, but I had no idea how to get into the business. Luckily I came across this book. After reading it I knew what I had to do to break into the business, find a photographer, and market myself to agencies. Now, seven months after reading the book and attending Aaron Marcus¿ seminar, I am signed to an agency and looking forward to a promising future. Even though I am just starting out, everyone I meet from other models to photographers think I have been in the business for years. In fact, people have been so surprised by this, I¿ve decided it¿s probably a good idea if I stopped telling them. This is without a doubt a direct result of what I learned from Aaron Marcus¿ book. The straight forward do¿s and don¿ts for interviewing with agencies and how to act and not act at auditions have provided to be an invaluable tool in my fledgling modeling career. There are no guarantees in this business but reading this book and attending his seminars will definitely give you a leg up on the competition. If you are looking to become a commercial model, or even if you already are one, this is a reference guide to the business that you must have.

Aaron's How to Model is my Bible!

I am so glad to have a friend who highly recommended me to check into Aaron Marcus''How to Model' website and the information was unbelievably amazing and very helpful! A particular chapter in the book where Aaron discussed helpful tips about finding an agent and a photographer was resourceful. Aaron's book is the reason why I found a talented photographer for a minimal $100 dollar fee for as many pictures which is an incredible deal! Now I am relieved to know that I don't have to spend so much money for photography shoots. I consider this book 'How to Model' as my bible! As a Model, there were alot of things I was not aware of or that I never thought of before. It's a must read for those who are aspiring to go into the industry.

    Nice and easy to read

I have read this book and enjoyed it very much. It was really easy to comprehend and it is, evidently, the result of years of experience. It is so realistic that when you read it you feel yourself in an agent¿s office or shooting photos on a stage. I am sure it should be a valuable help to everybody that want to be a commercial model.

    An Aspiring Model Must Have!

This book is a must-have for any and every aspiring commercial model. Aaron's advice is great, and his thoughtfully-prepared book really paints a clear picture of what it takes to get into the modeling business. The best part of the book is that Aaron provides you with his contact information--because of this, I have exchanged numerous Emails with Aaron directly. He is so helpful--and free with his suggestions and advice--that he gives you the confidence to give commercial modeling a try, if it's in your heart of course. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone who is considering commercial modeling--you'd be lost without it!

Confessions of a successful commercial model

Aaron Marcus tells it like it is. He paints an honest picture of what the commercial print industry is all about and what is required to succeed as a print model. He doesn't hold anything back. He brings home that the greatest asset is your own unique qualities and characteristics and gives great advice on how to cash in on them. He provides excellent pointers on what you can do to improve your skills, what agents are looking for and what kind of training is useful. He really does give you the 'How To's' such as: how to find a photographer, how to find agents, how to market yourself in a way that rings true for you. He doesn't stop short in giving you the tricks of the trade in the audition process but he actually shares his knowledge on how to create a safety net while you are on a photo shoot as well. I refer to his book often and it keeps me on track in reaching my goal. I have been following his words of wisdom and common sense tactics and putting in the time and effort it takes, and because of this, my dream of becoming a successful commercial model is becoming closer to a reality with each step I take. This book is a must for anyone who is looking to enter the world of print modeling or for performing artists to expand on their skills to provide extra income
